Honestly, I was happy to wear the hospital's gowns. There's so much disgusting stuff going even after delivery (the bleeding! the sweating!) that I was thrilled to just throw the gown in the laundry bin every few hours and put on a clean one. Eventually I just wore one of DH's t-shirts and some scrub pants. That's just my experience though - to each her own!

First of all, I wanted to wear the gowns they provided because I felt disgusting.
On the second day, I felt great and wanted to wear nice PJs and put some make-up. I would not have worn a gownie.

I wouldn't buy a gown like that, like others said it's pretty gross afterwards!
I was given a pajama robe set, I took it with me and forgot to put it on. It's also for nursing afterwards.

@Mrs. Pink: I also got PJs but I didn't feel comfortable wearing anything with a waist. Didn't want to move to pull the pants down for checks with the nurses.

For delivery I wore a Pretty Pusher gown I bought. I loved it - it was great! I hate hospitals gowns and didn't want to feel so exposed during early labor, so it was good for that. After delivery, I passed out in the bathroom, lol, so when I woke up in the hospital bed in my room, they had put me in a hospital gown and, at that point, I didn't care. Later that day I changed into some yoga pants and a tank top and that's pretty much what I wore for when we had visitors and the rest of the day. :3

@Mrs. Pink: oh also, I wasn't going to bother but I found o e on clearance on their site for $10 with free shipping. It's light pink with white polka dots. Might be worth a shot checking their site if you're considering it? I got a gown and robe set from motherhood for my first delivery and I liked the gownie so much better.
