Is that even a word?
So, my Mom is watching our daughter until the end of next week for us. She lives 2.5 hours away from here so, she is staying at our house during the week and heading home Friday evenings. My Dad stays at their house. Yesterday, he decided to go about getting her a new phone so they have a smart phone for their vacation in October. One problem. He had it activated. So now, Mom is at our house where we have no home phone, with no phone!
I initially freaked out and said Dad has to send her new phone immediately. Well, that went over like a bag of rocks. Instead, Mom has her computer set up and has learned how to "chat." So, we can chat or video chat if needed throughout the day.
It's still a bit nerve-wracking that she doesn't have a phone but, we're making do. My Dad is a bonehead!!
Would you be able to manage if your care provider didn't have a phone for a week while she/he was watching your child?
