Plus, that belly is SORE! There was no stuffing it in spanx when I was walking out of the hospital!

From the little I've read of her in the media she seems to really emulate Princess Diana to me.

I wonder if they're going to have a live in nanny?!?

@regberadaisy: so far she reportedly declined a nanny. The new family is staying with her parents for a little while. Usually baby royals don't leave the castle.

Another reason I'm glad she rocked the belly is because sooooooo many people don't even realize that this is what is normal! I remember when we visited my SIL 5 days after she had her baby (and before we had ours), my husband was like "What's with the belly?" Yep - he's that tactful. He (and I) had no idea that was what was normal! I hope more and more women become comfortable with their after-pregnancy bodies and are able to rock the belly like Kate!

@Adira: yep, I didn't know about the post-belly or leaking until HB.

@regberadaisy: Yep, no nanny,no maternity nurse. She's planning on raising her son just like every other mother does - relying on the support of her husband and family, not all the help money can buy!

I so love Kate Middleton. Have I mentioned my inlaws live in the next village over from her family? Just on the other side of the M4. I keep telling MIL she needs to become BFF with Carole so Kate and I can meet and become BFF. So far, no chance run ins.

And yes, I loved that Kate was rocking her post baby bump! She looked amazing and like someone the real women of the world can relate to, love it!

@Adira: I had no idea about the belly until one of my closest friends gave birth to her first 3 years ago. I went to visit her in the hospital, said "whoa," and she laughed and said it was fluid and her uterus. Then she moved it around to show me how crazy squishy and loose it was, and I was totally blown away. I think I had just never even thought about what it would look like right after giving birth. Of course, she's tiny and was back to her tiny self in about 2 weeks.

I was such a HOT MESS after delivery, and she looked so together and calm and beautiful. I just dont think that 24 or 48 hours after delivery I could have pulled myself together like that! I mean we were BEWILDERED by that tiny human rocking our world lol! So post-bump and all, she basically looked AMAZING!
