If you tested positive for GBS in your first pregnancy, did you test positive in subsequent pregnancies, as well?

Yes, I was GSB positive for both pregnancies. But my OB said that being positive the first time didn't necessarily mean I would be positive the second time so...I dunno?

Positive with the first (they never swabbed me because my urine culture came back positive in the first trimester), negative with my second.

Negative for 1st 2 and positive for the last one. My OB said the bacteria in our bodies is constantly changing so thats why they wait to test you for it later in pregancy. According to her having it in a previous pregancy isnt an indication you will have it again

Positive for DD1, negative for DD2.

Positive for 1, negative for 2 and 3. I took an antibiotic late in my second pregnancy and wondered if that made a difference but pretty clear from above it just comes and goes! I also did probiotics in 2 and 3 for third trimester to try to avoid it, no idea if it made a difference.

@bhbee: Interesting, I also had antibiotics in pregnancy #2...maybe it did make a diff?

Nope! Positive with first and negative with second. 3 years apart.

No to my first two pregnancies but yes at 30-ish weeks during my third but I was negative by the time I delivered.

@Mrs. Goose: nope! As far as I understand Strep is one of those bacteria that’s naturally present on the body and fluctuates from day to day. In my case it was identified from a swab for thrush (pregnancy is so glamorous!) but was fine when I was retested at the end of my pregnancy.
