For fun, what are some of your guilty pleasure reads? I'm adding books to my wish list and I think the guilty pleasure reads are some of the best! Are there any books you are embarrassed to admit you read?

I almost exclusively read mystery/thriller crime novels these days Anything by Jeffery Deaver, Johnathan Kellerman, or Lee Child is good.

Nora Roberts! It's fun, light and just a little sensual.
JD Robb is her alter that writes a futuristic crime/mystery/romance. Those are a little darker.

Not much embarrasses me when it comes to reading, but other people are probably embarrassed to admit they like paranormal romances. I've really enjoyed J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series (Dark Lover is the first) and Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series (Night Pleasures is the first).

I love romances, particularly historical fiction. Julia Quinn, Sarah Maclean, Elizabeth Boyle, and Lorraine Heath are some of my favorites. smartbitchestrashybooks.com is a great resource for reviews and recommendations for a variety of books.

I'm love urban fantasy. The Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews and the Mercy Thompson series by Patrician Briggs are some of my favorites.

Lately I've been really into reading Jude Deveraux. Most of them are pretty good, and I love that the plots move quickly and they are quick easy reads.

@Adira: haha, I was going to say the Black Dagger Brotherhood! DH gives me the side eye when he sees the cover of those books.

Not so much a guilty pleasure, but I've been reading more chick lit (hate that name, don't know what else to call it though!) these days. I'm usually reading before going to bed, and anything to heavy has me ZZZZZzzzzz fast. I've gotten into Laine Moriarty books, but the last one I read was surprisingly dark. I want light and fun!

I don't really have any idea but I need to follow this thread because I need some new addictive reads.

@catlady: @Bao: I love Ilona Andrews! I pretty much read anything they write. Patricia Briggs gets recommended to me on Amazon repeatedly, I should really give her a shot. Shannon Mayer's Tracker and then Elemental Series are also excellent. Also love Shelley Laurenston's Pride series, dumbed down from the previous recs but way sexier and hilarious.
@Mrs. Pickle: This is embarrassing but having an e-reader is seriously what gave me the push to read these paranormal romance books since I read mostly on my commute. Now I SAH so no one cares about my Fabio-esque covers.
