Does your LO have any makeshift toys they love?
DD has been into playing doctor lately, but we don't want to buy her a doctor play set until Christmas, so she's been using random items around the house for now. She uses a little cup for her stethoscope, Taco Bell packets for anesthetic, cleaning rags for bandages and tampons for shots. And she carries it all around in a little reusable shopping bag, aka her doctor's bag. Its so funny!

@Honeybee: So cute! Lala plays farm a lot right now, so she shreds toilet paper for hay, makes barns out of blocks (and horsey swimming pools... not sure why she decided that was important!), an albuterol inhaler as a feeding trough etc.
It makes me think I don't actually need to buy her a farm set up

Not a makeshift toy per se, but my 7 month old only wants to play with her diaper wipes. She loves the crinkly noise it makes. Sigh. She's surrounded by tons of toys, yet this is the only thing she ever wants to play with

My LO loves remotes! He has two different sized remotes and an old xbox controller that he loves playing with.

My LO is still pretty young for that, but she does use everything she sees as a phone. She'll pick anything up and put it up to her ear

My LO is only 4 months but he will definitely play with a blanket or burp cloth that is being folded over his head and get as excited about it as he gets about his "real" toys.
I go the idea from @artbee: who does laundry with her LO.

I love this thread and hearing about your cuties! 
I hope to hear more. Currently, I have an old bridesmaid purse that has a pocket mirror, fake cell phone, old camera, calculator and mini wallet in it. It's so cute when she carries it around and hikes it up on her shoulder when it slips, just like Mama.

@808love: Ahhh, I love the mimicking stage! When I was pregnant with DS, DD used to hold her back and mona/grunt when she was getting up off the ground. A little embarrasing but so funny, since I knew exactly where she picked it up!
