My hair stylist washes, dries, straightens, cuts, then styles my hair. Each appointment runs about 3.5 hours.
I'm getting my hair done right now. Washed my hair at home to save some time!
What's your stylist's routine? How long does a typical cut take?

Wow if my haircuts took that long I would never go! Mine takes about an hour to wash, cut, dry, straighten, then fine tune the cut.

@Boogs: mine used to last about 1.5hours. But the guy I see now is a perfectionist. It takes about an hour just to straighten my hair! (it's really long).

Wash (shampoo twice, then conditioner), towel dry, cut, dry, straighten/style = 1.5 hours.
Are you doing anything drastic? Choppity-chop??

Mine does the same stuff and takes about an hour. But she's usually behind so she has to work quick.

@Rubies: lots of texture put in and it's about 5 inches shorter than it was last week! (including the 3 inches I cut off myself). Love it.

whoa. that is so long. i am in and out of there in 40 minutes. i don't think she does a great job with the blow dry, though. but i usually just go home afterwards so it doesn't really matter. i would be so bored sitting there for 3.5 hours so i am fine with 40 minutes!

My stylist can cut, dry and style in an hour. I don't straighten my hair, so that cuts out a lot of time, I would think.
