It'll probably be forever before I can actually see a live performance, but until then, I am completely smitten with the soundtrack. It's been on repeat a lot lately! Even my 5-year-old DD loves it (I'm a little torn about the appropriateness given the explicit lyrics, but that's another post) because we have been reading a book about Lafayette, and she has read children's biographies of some of the other "characters" and we've been to some of the places mentioned in the lyrics. Every aspect is so well done, in my opinion. Are you a fan? Have you or will you see it live? Any favorite songs?

We constantly have the soundtrack on - my husband and I are both obsessed! It will be about 18 months before it comes to our city but we're going to get season tickets so we don't miss it!

Absolutely! I saw it in February and it was amazing. I wondered before it started whether it would end up being one of those things that got over-hyped, but nope. It was incredible. Lin-Manuel Miranda is so talented, it's ridiculous!

Hubby and I are going New Year's Eve to see it! I'm not obsessed with it - I only recently listened to the soundtrack and I do think it's fantastic but it's not on constant repeat. My husband did fall into the cult when it first came out. I would have seen it regardless of the phenomenon because I love theater in general and after listening to it I can't argue with the genius writing, but I'm not to the point of knowing every line in every song like a lot of people are.

I love listening to the soundtrack! I was going to get us tickets for our anniversary next month but just couldn't justify spending nearly $1000/ticket, so we'll just wait for the tour. I'm bummed that we won't get to see Lin Manuel-Miranda perform!

I LOVE Hamilton! I've converted my whole family. Lol. LO and I listen to the soundtrack on the way to daycare many mornings. It actually got me reading the biography.
Our savings account tells me we can't get tickets, but my HEART says "PLEEeeeasse!!".
My mom told me that 60 Minutes recently did a story on Lin Manuel-Miranda - I need to go find it on the internet. Also, PBS is doing a documentary on the show, and it includes them filming an entire performance - so hopefully we'll get to see some of the performance in the documentary! That documentary is coming out in October.

Going to see it November here in NY! I just started listening to the soundtrack, and I am amazed how musically varied the songs are and how rich it is and how clever it is some parts. Apparently, LMM worked on this for 6 years. I'm sad that I won't see the original cast though.
