Does anyone have experience with H&M maternity clothing? I'm curious about sizing because I'm torn between getting my pre-preg size or a size up. Most stuff runs XS, S, M, etc. I know their regular clothes run pretty small, so I'm guessing the maternity does, too?

I bought my regular size in everything and it fit pretty well up until the end.

Agreed, pretty close to true to size for their tops at least. I didn't have any of their bottoms.

I have a pair of jeans and they fit a little small like their regular clothes. They are fine until the last two months and then I wished I had a size bigger (that was last time and it seems to be true for this pregnancy too).
ETA: for me their clothes are only a little small, not exactly a full size off so it depends on the cut some too

I think it's similar to their regular clothes. Runs a bit small so I'd probably size up

I'd also say they run a little small. I'm wearing their maternity t-shirts in L but I've generally been a M at other stores. But even the t-shirts range in size depending on the fabric/pattern. Will you be able to try on locally?

@pregnantbee: They don't have maternity in-store at the one closest to my house, but there is one about 35 min away. I think we might trek out there in a couple weekends (we'll be out of town next weekend), so my husband suggested I just wait. But my work clothes situation is going to be getting dire soon, so I kind of want to try a couple things online before then! At least I can return in store and they do free shipping
I think they have 20 percent off online right now, too.

@MrsSCB: Oh, that's cool. I really didn't find much in store for work. Just lots of basics. I find that the leggings kinda fall fall down.....as do the skinny black pants I got. Love the t-shirts and have found that the striped one and one with birds on it (navy with white birds) run a little smaller than the solid colors. I also bought a 2-pack of nursing tanks -- obv. haven't worn those yet. Had been debating buying a dress online, but I ultimately didn't want to pay shipping!

@MrsSCB: I don't think you can return in store all the time. I recall not being able to with some nursing tanks I bought, but that was 2 years ago.
I think they run true to size, maybe slightly small. Definitely smaller than motherhood and traditional maternity. I like it because I'm petite and motherhood etc is always huge on me!

Go up a size or two in their maternity bottoms. They ran super small for me.

I only have one tshirt, but I generally wear xs or s and I got the tshirt in medium. I probably would have been ok with a small, though, if they had had any in stock.

Thanks, all! Sounds like I should definitely go with the higher of the two sizes I'm considering. I just noticed the 20 percent off deal doesn't start until the 24th, so I think I'll hold off purchasing until then.

@catomd00: that's good to know, I'm going to be sure to only buy ones that state you can return in-store. I'm terrible about making returns when I have to mail them in.
@travellingbee: ok good, I was either going to go to that one or the Katy Mills one. I'm sad they don't carry the maternity line in the Galleria, since that's obviously closest but we'll just make a short road trip!

I was gigantic with my second pregnancy and some of their size L tops fit till the very end of my pregnancy, which is saying something! So I would say they run true to size. I was a M/L before pregnancy and definitely a L during pregnancy.

I've found that they run a little small, but I'm able to get my regular pre-preg size. The only exception is the outerwear, which seems to run really big! I ordered a maternity coat earlier this year in a M (my normal size) and it was massive! I think I could have fit 2 of me in it.... had to return it for a small, which still fits at 34 weeks.
I think they have 20 percent off online right now, too.
