We had our first ultrasound and doctor's visit today on my birthday, which I thought would be a great birthday gift. And it was, times two! The moment the image popped up on ths screen I saw it: two babies!!!
It's still sinking in that we're having twins. Here comes double trouble!!!!

@mrs. bird COMPLETELY surprised! It's kind of ironic because we were just randomly discussing "what if it's twins" while we were driving to the doctor and I said that would be ridiculous, there's only one baby in my belly. In hindsight, I guess I should have considered it more possible! There are at least three sets of twins on my dad's side, although none in the past two generations. DH also has twins skipping generations on his side, though that didn't play a factor with me.

The thought of daycare for two babies is what scares me the most right now.

@sunshineandsushi: i can see the daycare costs being scary- but on a positive note, you usually get a discount when you have more than one in the same program. it's harder to find opening for 2 infants in the same room though, so i'd make sure you look to get on a waiting list ASAP. so excited for you!
