Has anyone been to a blowout bar? Did you like it?

Yup, I liked it because I suck at blow drying and styling my hair. I went to one for my engagement pics and my friend's wedding when I had hours to kill!

Yes! I went before my BILS wedding with my mom. It was awesome! There was 7 styles to choose from and we both loved how our hair turned out.

Yup! I'm really picky about my hair so I didn't love how they did it but I want to try another more reputable place

@luckypenny: @MsLipGloss: @artbee: @Mrs. Champagne: @autumnlove: @littlek: Um, I am ashamed to ask: What is this?

My mommy brain went to the place where I thought it might be a place where someone else would change your kids blow out diaper. Ha.

@TurtleDoves: it's a place that just blow dries and styles your hair. No cuts, colors, etc.

@TurtleDoves: Haha I totally had to google it when I saw this thread earlier!

@TurtleDoves: http://www.blomedry.com/ this is the one we went to!

Yeah I had my hair done before a wedding (I was a guest) at Blo Bar. I was supposed to get the "HollyWould" but it wasn't as curly as I thought it would be. I still loved the style though and would definitely go back for a special occasion!

@winniebee: that would be awesome!
I love getting my hair done, if there was one near us I would convince DH it was a necessity.

I went before my maternity photos. I liked it but then it was so windy out it fell apart immediately.
The name of these places is so unfortunate. I always call it Blow Job Bar as a joke.

Haha, I posted a thread about making a blowout last longer a little while ago, and EVERYONE thought I was talking about diaper blowouts!
There is a "blowout bar" in my city and I have been twice now. Absolutely love it and would get my hair done every week if I could!
PS: I was able to make my blowout last three days! I probably could have done a fourth. So I feel like I got my money's worth.

I never knew this was a thing until just the other day. I was visiting Chicago and saw one of these on a street corner. So, do they only do blowouts? ...no haircuts at all? Seems kind of weird to me. I think if I really wanted a blowout, I would just go to my regular hair salon.

I've been to DryBar for my last two anniversaries to get my hair done for fancy dinners and I love it! It's so worth it to me as an occasional splurge because I NEVER blow dry my own hair (as in I don't own a blow dryer). My hair also doesn't get oily very fast so they last a good amount of time for me.

Giving this a bump! I'm thinking about asking for a gift certificate to Drybar for Mother's Day.

@skibobrown: They are really popular here, so my regular stylist who I go to for haircuts (she used to do my color, too, before I stopped coloring it) matches the price of the dry bars in the area.

I keep meaning to try one out - I'm not great nor do I have the patience to do my hair great. I think if I went I'd get addicted!

I wish we had one of these in town! I'd be all over it for nice occasions!

I just signed up for my first one! I'm getting maternity photos this week and thought it'd be nice to have my hair done.

We don't have one in town!
But, my SIL is a stylist at a really nice hair salon, so I don't need one. She's my blowout bar!

I have and I hated it. My hair didn't turn out at all like the photo and it was extremely over priced. The stylists were also SO rude. I just go to a normal salon.

@lioneyes: no way!!! Can I wall you my email so you can forward me the email too?

Omg I love blow out bars. The head massage is awesome and my hair usually looks great for at least three days (although my curls always pull out within a couple of hours because my hair is thin)

I wish I had a reason to go to one of these. I need to be invited to a party or something.

When I lived in NYC, I was always so jealous of how some of the girls would have such beautifully styled hair on nights out...I learned years later that a lot of them went to get a blowout on a weekly basis...who knew!
