I am thinking about getting their industrial pendant light in either clear or mercury for my kitchen but I was really hoping to get some opinions on the quality of their lighting first. I have searched high and low online for reviews but can't seem to find any.

We have this one (pardon the dark picture and messy nightstand - we are being lazy still today) and I LOVE it. Great quality. Feels sturdy and great materials. West elm is hands down my favorite store

@luckypenny: Oooh, good to see that one in person. I have always loved that lamp.
I've been hesitant to pull the trigger because I have had a west elm bed that completely fell apart and it put me off buying from them. That lamp looks great though so maybe it was a one off.

Sorry for the double picture, but our Dining Room light fixture is from West Elm! We love it! We got it on sale, and its perfect. I love that its trendy, while still having a classic appeal with the industrial lamp head part. We have had no issues with it!

@plantains: I have their Large rectangle capiz pendant light in my Texas house and I love it. It was kind of a bitch to get ready to intsall because all the damn shells came individually wrapped and taped together and it took forever to unwrap it all without cutting the strings holding it all together.
But once it was up, I got/get tons of compliments on it.

@luckypenny: I've had two beds from them, same problems. Good for 2 years and then fell apart, kind of like IKEA stuff but pricier so I've decided no more West Elm beds. My next one I will fork out the 2K for the Crate and Barrel one I am craving.

I have gotten 2 light fiXtures from west elm and I have no complaints. The quality is very good and for The price! I definitely won't hesitate to order from
Them again if I see something I like.

I have the same lighting as @Anagram: @lisa1783: ! It WAS a b*tch to install, but I had our handyman do it and my sister and I spent some time carefully unwrapping each strand. It's gorgeous up though!

Our dining room light is from west elm. We love it! Only had it a month though so I can't speak to long term quality. We get compliments from everyone who comes over on it though.
