I'm right in the middle of the pink!
The weather.com article says "Tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds are all serious concerns. Southern and central Kansas, as well as western and northern Oklahoma, have the potential for strong long-track tornadoes, where the SPC has issued a high risk area for severe storms."
I've lived in the midwest for most of my life and have definitely seen bad weather and tornadoes but it still makes me a little nervous!
Anyone else in this area?

We're in the orange so not bad. I've also seen my fair share of storms/tornadoes so I'm not too concerned.
I would probably be a little nervous if I was in the pink area, though!

@skinnycow: Yeah I never worry about the "enhanced" risk... usually that means some thunder and rain, lol.
Our basement is a walkout and that's the only reason I get nervous when they talk about tornadoes. Luckily all of our neighbors have regular basements though!

@mrskansas: Ah yeah, we don't even have basements here! We have to go into interior bathrooms/closets.

Today's not so bad, we don't' have rain yet - we were in basement on Tuesday night because the tornado sirens were going off and tomorrow could get ugly again (I'm just north of your map up in Nebraska)

I think our storms are supposed to continue tomorrow as well, but maybe not as severe as what they are predicting for today.
It's just cloudy here right now but there is that strange, kinda eerie feeling when you walk outside.

We're in the orange/yellow and I have to admit, until I see a funnel cloud I'm pretty unflappable these days. I do need to rearrange some interior closets that have gotten too full though. We have a crawl space, not a basement, and in a rush it would take too long to get to.

We do have about 3 tornado warnings in the area around us but not too close.

@mrskansas: Haha there are not many of us here. We had a pretty mellow night, it's rainy/misting here but I think we are supposed to have sun tomorrow finally! Which i'm doing a garage sale today and tomorrow, so i hope the hard wind/rain that was predicted stays far away. I have stuff to get rid of.

We had a very uneventful night. All hype, as usual. It rained and there was some thunder/lightening but that's it. More storms predicted for today but nothing severe.
Here's to hoping for a nice weekend!

Another mid-westerner. 
In NE Iowa - we had bad storms Monday night and Wednesday night, just moved bathtime to our basement bathroom to ride out the storm.
We have a walk-out basement too so it does make me nervous if were to actually get a tornado.
