I'm sure I've been called a B but never to my face.

Never to my face but I teach high school. I try not to think about what gets said about me behind my back! Lol

Some chick one of my room mates brought home did. It happened as I was walking back upstairs at 3am after yelling at them to keep it down since it was a weekday and some of us had to work. It took all I had not to go back down there.

Ummm yes. It took 1 year of me not fighting back & multiple hang ups after G's bio dad & I separated for him to stop calling me such name (amongst & added to others) every. single. conversation. Now it only happens ~ 1x a year when I bust his balls about him making excuses why he can't come get G & how it's my fault.
Some of my favorites are stupid/dumb b and my very favorite is a money grubbing b for pointing out his failure to pay the $200/mth of cs for the last 7 years.
He's lucky I'm such a good sport about it. lol

It's a bit sad but I've been called a bitch by a few former students that had some emotional disturbances and profound behavioral issues. That was one of the milder curse words/insults I've been called. Other staff had it worse than me though.
I've never actually had an adult call me that to my face. I'm sure it's been said behind my back though.

Yes, in Spanish. I think he thought I couldn't understand him, but everyone knows the curse words!

Yup, more during my high school days.
My MIL called me a B during a game of Monopoly. She was joking but still. She has sarcastic sense of humor and I still get surprised by what comes out of her mouth.

Yes, many many times. I've been called much worse to, by my adoring ex-husband, such fond memories...

@PointeShoesTutus: same. I worked in an elementary school and a fifth grader was very upset about rules I was enforcing and called my a b. well, it definitely didn't make me let up on the rules
I think a few other times but drawing a blank.

Yes, it was hilarious. Some elderly hoity-toity lady at a restaurant in NYC. I waited about 20 mins for a table with two kids in tow, and was getting us all situated and ready to look at the menu when she comes over and takes my menu, and stands there, reading it, as if I didn't mind since I was taking off coats, getting the kids seated, etc... I point out to her that she needs to check in with the hostess and that I waited for this table. She told me I was a B and to go back to "my country". Uh huh... so she meant, right here in the USA, where I was born?

@SweetMamaM: I'm only a substitute, well used to be, and have also been called this to my face by a couple of students

Yep!
Actually my Dad did once, I was in high school and he had a couple beers, but he said Smurfette, stop acting like a B! It was totally warranted but I remember being in such shock that he said it to me. I had never even heard him cuse before. My Mom wasn't happy with him. B
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
All the time but never in a confrontational sense. Besides, I know I'm a B.
@Smurfette: hahah OMG. But that will be a classic story for ages.

@SAHM0811: Swearing at people in front of their kids for no reason AND being racist...there's an awesome combo.
My most memorable time being called a B (because when you work in customer service, you hear this a LOT) would be the time a guy asked me if a TV he was looking at had picture in picture. I explained that it was there, but difficult to use because the TV had only one tuner, so he would have to have a separate cable box or antenna to view 2 different channels at the same time. He totally flipped his shit! Said that it was a yes or no question and I was just a dumb*** b**** who was trying to make it sound complicated because I didn't know what the f*** I was talking about.
Oh, and one time a guy told me that I was a f***ing b**** robot who should go die because I wouldn't exchange a CD he bought five years ago that had gotten a scratch on it. Sigh. Customers.

Yep, when I taught 3 year old preschool, I had a kid call me one, using it in the correct context and all. That was lovely.
I can't remember, but I'm sure it happened in high school as well because when I started dating DH (at 16), he had been dating and recently broke up with one of my "friends" (later found out she really wasnt a friend at all). So I broke the "girl code" on that one.
nectarine / 2932 posts
Yes. Many times! It doesn't really bother me. Unless it was DH calling it to me (he hasn't ever)...in which case I would REALLY show him what a b is!

Behind my back, I'm sure. Many of my crazy high school students have called me a B to my face - meh~.

My mom once told me that I *used* to be a B when I was a hormonal teenager. We are able to laugh about it now, and she never called me that at the time.

@Adira: @Littlebit: Yeah, in those situations, I always felt that if that happened, I was doing something right! (like standing up for myself or another person!)

I had a guy that I liked in high school tell me that he would want to go out with me if I weren't such a B. (He didn't know I liked him). Ummm, ok. What did he like about me then?
I started dating DH soon after that, so I'm pretty sure the first guy did me a favor

@Littlebit: haha, Hubs has called me a B before and I've just been like "Yes, I am, now STFU."
honeydew / 7091 posts
Well, DH does, but not in a bad way. Once I was having to tell someone off on the phone (phone service or internet service or insurance, or something frustrating), and when I got off he said 'Man, you were kind of being a B!'. I don't mind when it's said like that. If we arguing and he flat out called me a B, that's when I would mind!
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
Haha, yep. I heard it in high school and my first year of college several times.

I'm sure I have been plenty of times behind my back....can't remember anyone saying it to my face, but it probably happened at some point in high school or college.

Yep! All the time by one of my old roommates, we did not get along so well
