We have 20 weeks to go and find out the gender next week...but we have absolutely no names that we are attached to for either gender! I am starting to get worried we'll have a name-less baby! Anyone else? I think naming the first was so much easier!

I am really stuck this time. Nothing I even remotely love.

@TurtleDoves: Lol, you crack me up! Can you imagine being a mom to a half dozen boys?!? It would be hilarious!
@matador84: For our first, we were just meh on all boy names. We were TG so we had a few in mind but we didn't love them. Fortunately, LO was a girl and we'd had a name picked out for ages. With this baby, we are TG again and we both have our hearts absolutely set on a girl's name....of course not the same name so I'm not sure how that one is going to resolve, but at least we have two options. Once again for boys though, we have a short list of three but we're not wildly in love with any of them. I'm just hoping if it is a boy, one of those names suddenly jumps out at us!

@Ree723: haha, don't wish that on meeeee! *shutter*
@Mrs. Jacks: @matador84: Mrs.Jacks is right, let us know what avenue you want to take with names, and we will come up with bunches
Shoot, middle names too if ya want us to

@Ree723: @TurtleDoves: be carefully! My grandmother had a half dozen boys (6!). That's a lot of boys names to come up with!!

I only have 5 weeks left, and we still haven't decided on a name for DS2!! Calvin is a contender, but I'm not completely on board with it. Poor kid will be unnamed at birth.

We have a boy first name for sure, and a few middle name options so that won't be a problem. A girl name - ahh! I thought I had some that I like, but now I'm totally back at square one! We both think it's a boy though.. only 16 days until we confirm!

You all are so kind. We like classic, but not really top names. Common, but not uncommon, semi-traditional. I love Italian names but DH doesn't. Our son has an Irish sounding first name with our Irish sounding last name.
I think it'll help when we find out next week the gender so we'll have a jumping off point. I kind of like Vivienne for a girl and Kate for a middle name. Other than that, we are in no name land!

It was a real struggle coming up with DD name, so I can relate. It took a long time for it to grow on me after we decided on it as well.

We didn't even talk about names until after we knew the gender. It seemed so much more natural to talk about her as a certain name after we knew she was a she.

@matador84: hey did you look at my A-Z lists? I pulled out some new names that you and I haven't talked about
papaya / 10560 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: no but I will right now! I always love seeing what you come up with!!

@matador84: since I don't have a baby on the horizon, I did a few that are usually out of my comfort zone.

@MrsF: That's DH's approach, so we're still nameless, too, @matador84:. After we first found out we were expecting, we did toss around a few girls' names, but that discussion has long since fallen silent. We have our appointment tomorrow, so hopefully we can get on the name train soon!

i'm almost 28 weeks and we have nothing. i have 2 names that i love, and DH (of course) hates them. DH refuses to think of any names, i'm not sure why.
our first LO didn't have a name until he was like a day old. i promise your baby wont be nameless forever! aint nothing wrong with waiting til he/she is born to think of one!

We didn't talk about names for C until after the gender scan. We didn't seriously come up with a list until the third trimester and we didn't actually name her until she was born.
grapefruit / 4584 posts
Similar to what loveisstrange said - we didn't even discuss names until we knew LO was a girl - that way we only had to worry about one set.

I have a boy name I like, that I think we're set on, but not a girl's name. If this is a girl, I'm going to have to really work to find something I loved as much as S's name.

So glad I'm not the only one! Everyone seems to have names pre-decided or are quickly able to make a decision, but not us. Ugh. We have four names to pick (twins, don't know what they are) so we need two of each. The girls names were fairly easy, the boys, not so much. At 32 weeks we finally have some possible contenders but nothing we both love.

Check out the recent A-Z name threads, it might help trigger some favorites
I think too it will help once you know the gender of your little one!

We have our future girl name picked out, well narrowed down to two. (Two first name options, middle name is set) and we have nothing we even like for a boy.

We found out the that we are having another boy Monday. I was hoping to at least have a short list like we did last time, but no dice. I think we are set now on a name, I think we just needed to "see" him to really think hard about it.

I definitely think you'll have an easier time once you find out the gender. No worries! My best friend chose her second kid's name two days after he was born and someone randomly suggested the name on facebook. We've had our names chosen since we started talking about TTC. Everyone is different but most kids end up with a name!
Ps I love Vivienne Kate.

Less than a month till my due date and I have no clue. My husband has a first name he likes but I'm not convinced. Only thing is I'm not convinced on any name now so . . . . I'm not helpful.

@matador84: I spent all the time making that list because I know there are a few people trying hard to find a name right now!

@Mrs. Jacks: You are so dedicated to the name quest!
It really is a great list!! I did look at the boy one too, but didn't copy and paste in (yet).

@TurtleDoves: we do for this LO! If our next one is a boy, which we would love he won't have a name
