@agold: I think the people responding saying they are surprised were just surprised how quickly they received the money, but they knew it was coming.
We received ours already as well which surprised me as I didn't think it would be so fast.
We dont need it for essentials, but like @helloperidot stated, we will probably use it for something non essential like towards a fence for our yard or landscaping.
We are very grateful to both be fully able to work from home and that we are receiving our regular pay.

Has anyone not received theirs yet that should have? We have not had it direct deposited yet, but we received a refund in 18 when we filed our taxes so they should have our correct bank info. When I check our status on the website it basically says there is no information to give us. We're moving in 2 weeks and I have a feeling if we get mailed a check it will literally never make it's way to us if it doesn't arrive before we move. No idea who to contact about it.

Does anyone else know they won’t get direct deposit because they haven’t gotten a refund in years? I’m now wondering when the actual checks will come. I read somewhere it could be August. We really need it, so I’m bummed.

ETA we also haven’t gotten a federal refund in years but we file taxes every year

@CatchAFallingStar: in the same boat, not sure whether they have our current direct deposit info because we never get a refund, but the portal gives us the same message. I guess the checks will come whenever Trump gets his name onto them 🙄

@Fawn: okay. So count me as one of the surprised because I received it. I was not expecting to. And I’m going to use it for landscaping too! People are so happy to be getting any work during this time.
@MrsSCB: Trump’s name wasn’t anywhere on anything I received, so I don’t think that’s the issue with the delay getting any of the stimulus money out to everyone that will be getting it.

@agold: it’s the paper checks, which will take longer to send out than direct deposit. They will have Trump’s name on them, a first for a president on such disbursements. IRS officials have indicated it could cause a delay, though trump says it won’t 🤷♀️

@MrsSCB: he won’t be hand signing them, so hopefully it won’t take long to get a stamp with his name on it.

@agold: he’s not signing them it’s going on the memo line. The checks are signed by someone from the bureau of fiscal services. Therefore it’s an unnecessary time waster for people who NEED the money. But I did hear they’re starting to mail paper checks next week and I hope that’s the case so everyone can get them as soon as possible

@CatchAFallingStar: we haven't gotten a refund in years, we owe every year, but they pull the money we owe right from our bank, so I assume they would have it. We haven't gotten anything as of this morning. We did file for 2018 but not yet for 2019 because my husband will take any opportunity to procrastinate he can possibly find.
