I started it last night. The OB recommended taking it vaginally to decrease some of the GI upset risk. Did it work for you or did you still need a D&C?

I took cytotec vaginally when I was induced with my first. It worked so well for me that I didn't even need pictocin. I'm so sorry for your loss

I took it with my miscarriage in November. I didn't new a D&C but I did have to go back to the OB several times for ongoing spotting, ultrasounds and blood work. It worked but took a long time.

I took Cytotec in September for a miscarriage - it was successful. I bled not too heavily after the initial 48 hrs for about a week. I had an ultrasound to confirm that everything looked as it should and got my first AF in October. Hugs

So sorry. I took it with my miscarriage four years ago because the bleeding wasn't stopping and I ended up needing to take it a few times. I continued to bleed for a few more weeks and then I had to have a D&C. But I had a bunch of fibroids that they think were prolonging it (had bled for over 4 weeks) so my case was not typical at all. Had I known all of that would happen, I would have gone right for the D&C. But of course we didn't know at the time...I think it works OK for most people. Again, so sorry you are going through this!
