I've never heard of it. What is it?

I did for 1 month- I had decided to go with an IUD, but waiting til I was on DH's insurance meant saving over $1000. It was ok- I don't remember any significant side effects, but you have to take it within a three hour time frame which stressed me out. Also remember that you don't take a week off like you do with most birth control pills.

I took it for 14 months after LO. Worked great for me.

@yellowbird: BCP. Dr. rx'ed it for me and I had never heard of it either.

@matador84: it killed my supply so I stopped taking it but I may be the odd one out.

@matador84: within 48 hours my pumping supply cut in 1/2. I stopped taking it and it went back up. =\

@Yellowbird - it's the only bcp you can take while bf. generic names could be heather, Camilla, errin....there are many other generic names. Also known as the minipill

I take it and have for years. No real issues with it - just sometimes I'll skip a period or one will come really early or late out of the blue. But this has only happened a handful of times.

@matador84: i took it from 6 wks pp to when I day weaned at 13 months. It worked fine and did not affect my nursing supply.
I had no real complaints--my period also didn't come back until 11 months pp so I only had 2 periods on it.

@matador84: whoops just now seeing this. It was february and I gave birth in september so 5 months.
