I had to buy a weight set - I'm pretty sure it paid for itself that order alone.

Oh yes. We got Prime shipping on our crib & changing table!

Yes because we cut back our cable (save $30/month) but we lost some of the kid channels. So she watches a lot of Dora and Little Bear on PrimeTV.

@BabyBoecksMom: It definitely has for us! We order a ton of baby stuff and house items and use the video streaming.

I buy tons of stuff off amazon and only use prime. so I have no doubt that it pays itself.

yes! especially since i share with my mom. even just the 15% off my S&S each month probably pays for it

Definitely! We use Amazon for multiple purchases monthly and most items are bought on prime.

I order so many things on amazon that it has more than paid for itself. plus a lot of the things i buy come next day!

Yep. I was annoyed by the price bump (although now that they've announced all the new stuff it is totally worth it) but it's not like I could cancel haha. I prime!

Yup, it's paid for itself time and time again, plus who doesn't love free Amazon Sundays.

It's not the same in Canada.
The warehouse is close to us so pretty much everything ends up being next day or two day shipping anyway. There's no streaming and a more limited selection.
apricot / 274 posts
Absolutely. We order so much stuff on Amazon that just the free shipping is worth it!

Yes! I buy everything on amazon. It's just easier than going to the store. We just bought a new mattress on amazon. Hooray for free two day shipping!

I am half tempted to cancel my prime to see if I buy less unnecessary stuff. My husband read an article last week that said prime users spend 4x as much as non prime amazon shoppers. They should be paying us!

@Sparkler: not sure if I agree with that at least in my case. I'm aware of Amazon crazy pricing so I price watch and compare before buying anything. And I feel like without prime you have to spend up to $25 to get free shipping. Whereas with prime I can spend $10 and still get free shipping!
But I definitely spend more money at Amazon because I have prime!
I think just in savings I've incurred from shipping presents it's been worth it!
I always forget, can you use s&s or mom without prime?

I love our prime and we have had the student rate for several years so it is definitely worth it! We buy tons of things because it is often cheaper and more convenient than nearby stores, and we do lots of streaming as well!
@Sparkler: we really don't buy "unncessary" stuff in my opinion b/c it is not in the budget. we price stuff out at amazon and a few other places when we need something (sunscreen, a new blender, etc) and when amazon looks the best, we buy.
