Has your child ever had a reaction to a vaccine?

yes. we could never do more than two vacs at a time. his 2 month shots were a horror show (rash, swelling and a fever that landed us in the ER!) 2 month shots were about the same and then we decided to split them up. after that reactions were way less severe. he had a dairy allery so i think that had something to do with it. most vacs contain casien.

My dr told me that if you breastfeed them immediately after the vaccination, it usually helps to mitigate their symptoms. I always did afterwards and my LO never usually had any reaction. It might not be related but at least it comforted him so he wasn't screaming anymore.

One time he had a little fever and quite a bit of crankiness. The other times he may have been just a little bit fussy but not much.

No reaction until his 12 month shots, and then he had a few nasty diapers and was fussy/clingy all day. He was fine the next morning.

DD got a large welt on her leg following one vaccine (can't remember at what age). It went away a few days later.
