Um, yes. haha, a few times.

We’re beginning to work on potty training (starting the conversation, mostly) and LO gets very excited when anyone needs to use the potty. She also assumes if you get up during a meal, it’s to use the potty….so on several occasions inside crowded restaurants when my husband has gotten up from the table LO joyfully screams “daddy going pee on the potty!!!!” at the top of her lungs. LOL LO is a chronic over-sharer already.

I was with a friend when her 4 year old starting SCREAMING about her bum being itchy. "mamaaaa my bum is sooooo itchy!!!! aaahhhh IN THE HOLE!!!"
I almost died laughing.
My poor friend.

I know my day is coming, haha

@mrsjazz: Lorelei does all the time. We were at the library a couple of weeks ago before lunch. Apparently it was cute male college student day. We were checking out books and she goes, "Mama, I am going to nipple your nipples standing up in the car." She was loud. Several male college students blushed. I think I may have, too. She told a woman in the Dairy Queen drive through, "This is my vagina. It is private to me. Don't look at it," in a very menacing tone after Ellie had given her a lesson in privacy. She told the checkout lady at the grocery, who had asked where Mr. T was that, "Daddy is home pooping his diarrhea poops in the potty. Good job, daddy!" because Mr. T had stomach flu.

Ellie was so much nicer to me. Ha ha.

I'm dying over here from these, kids are so innocent! I know my day is coming soon for the blushes and embarrassment!

Oh my-- I have so much to look forward to when C is talking...

@mrsjazz: She knows how to say nurse, but sometimes she will refer to it as, "Nippling." So she meant she wanted to nurse in the car. But, of course, since there were men around she had to pick a much kinkier sounding way to phrase her request. Sometimes I laugh, other times I do get a little embarassed. I know I've blushed a few times. She makes us laugh a lot because the things she says are just so crazy. Ellie always wants to hear about the day's Lorelei stories when she gets home because she gets a kick out of how silly she is. Like when she totally ruined (I use the word very lightly) story time at the library. She's a handful, that's for sure!

@Mrs. Pen: Well, if she's like you maybe we are okay. You're pretty awesome. I wonder some days about that kid. She's funny, but she is so, SO wild. Ellie was just the most well-behaved and subdued kid.

OMG. This thread is totally make me laugh out loud. Too funny!!

My LO can't talk yet, but these are hilarious! Oh, but speaking of the cat on the menu, one time my friend brought her son into our work and he started screaming "CHOPSTICKS!" at an Asian couple I was helping - OMG, mortifying! My friend realized that the woman looked similar to their regular waitress at her favorite Chinese restaurant, and of course, his favorite thing about it is using chopsticks. I think she did kind of explain/apologize before dragging him away. Oh, and I've also seen the same kid, shortly after having death explained to him before going to a funeral around the age of 3, start to ask random old people if they were going to die soon. I swear she doesn't say inappropriate things to or in front of him! He just manages to make everything sound awful!

@wonderstruck: Ellie asked me one day not that long ago if I was old enough to die of old age yet. Not sure which bothered me more-- the fact that she thought I might be that old, or the fact that she was so un-fazed.

@mrsjazz: You think you want it-- trust me. You do not. Some of it is okay, and some of it is just plain unnecessary.

I have no LO yet, but my neighbor's LO went through a phase where every woman he saw who had a bit of a tummy he said, "is there a baby in your belly?" Apparently since his mom was pregnant he assumed all bellies = pregnant bellies. She said it caused a fair amount of embarrassment!

Omg I'm dying over these stories!

Speaking of age, a few years ago before I had my LO, my friend's 6 year old told me that I was probably 45 and his parents were probably 60. Their concept of age is so funny! (For the record I was probably 27 and looked about 17.)

These are hysterical!

So far I've only been embarrassed by screaming fits in public...those are much less funny!

I am loving this thread! R's too young to have embarrassed me yet but I'm sure she will someday.

One time we were having dinner at a restaurant where the tables feel on top of each other. My daughter was drinking water from a cup when she dropped it and it poured all over the leg of the woman sitting at the table next to us. She was very gracious about it but I was so mortified!

Another time she announced in the crowded but rather quiet cafe that she had "farted" omgg
