LO has yet to be sick (knock on wood) but she feels a bit warm today and says she has a headache. HFM was going around last week, so far we dodged that one...fingers crossed. I'm hoping her symptoms today don't progress, but it being mid-October I can't complain!

Our son fell victim to his first illness last Thursday. Fever between 101 and 103, and finally broke last night (I think). Turns out, he had a cold and double ear infection.
DD seems to be holding out strong for now. I'm sure it'll change once the weather stays consistently cooler. We're still in the lower 90's/upper 80's in Texas!

My kid has a knack for getting sick on the weekends. She's had strep throat that was followed up with a sinus infection. She's still got a horrible wet cough that we are trying to fight. She hasn't missed any school though.
She also shared her strep throat with her little sister too. Another weekend sickness.

Yep. DS1 missed one day and DS2 has missed 4 days (and only goes 3 days a week....)

I'm scared to even type it out but NOPE! Like @Alivoo01 we're still in the mid/high 80's, so...we'll see how long it lasts once "cold" weather strikes.

She's had a cold and over the weekend a very mild stomach bug, but nothing so bad that she's had to stay home. I on the other hand caught her stomach bug and could barely function yesterday! Still working from home today to lay low

Nothing beyond a runny nose that lasted about 2 weeks. It's still warm here though so I expect DD will get sick when it cools down.

DS2 is sick right now with an upper respiratory virus. DS1 hasn't been sick in a while, knock on wood.

My older daughter missed 1 day of school for hand foot mouth disease. Luckily it started on a Friday afternoon, so she only missed Monday. HFM is awful, I hope to never go through that ever again!

I jinxed myself. Jinx of all jinxes. She has a 102 fever. So I guess tomorrow will be her first missed day of school.

Yep, she was healthy for the whole spring/summer then like clockwork when the school year started (despite the fact that she's in fulltime daycare regardless) she came down with the first cold of the season and a stomach bug right on top of it. Then a new cold that started three days ago.
Looks like we may follow the pattern I have heard is common where you get an illness every 2 weeks for the first winter at daycare, then a new illness every 3 weeks the second winter. It's already SO MUCH better than it was last year, having her actually recover in between the viruses makes a huge difference versus just rolling constantly for months. I'm glad we got some immunity benefit from going through that last year.

Yes my 5 minute month old got his first fever starting yesterday and my middle son woke up this morning feeling warm (even though thermometer said 99) and a little off. Took both of them to the doctor to gets ears checked but both are fine and just colds. My middle son bounced back shortly after waking up. The baby fever went from 101 yesterday to around 99 or so so hopefully it's on its way out!

Yup. She went most of the summer really healthy but has had a cold or two and now has a stomach bug of some sort or some type of digestive issue. It is driving me nuts because that's her only symptom but I can't send her to school like that.. and it's only October. School started toward the end of August.

Ugh. She woke up with the chills tonight and is now whimpering in her sleep.

@Bao: Sorry. I am telling myself it's better they miss now when they are in preschool than kindergarten and above. Hope your lo is better soon!

She has had a cold since she started at the end of September, but today is her first day off sick - impetigo. Poor thing.
