Charlie had a couple before he was 1, but none since then (knock on wood).

So far no ear infection. She's a couple weeks shy of 1!

Yes, she had her first at 18 months and she just had another one recently.
@Rubies: They may get a fever. I only knew the first time because she scratched her ear lots. The second time she had an eye infection and when I took her to the doc it turns out she had an ear infection, too. So I didn't even know that time.

Never, thankfully. When Charlie got them, what tipped you off?

@Boogs: it's not always easy to spot, but he was fussy and had a low grade fever. we took him to the pediatrician who confirmed it was an ear infection. he felt better after 1 day on antibiotics!

I am so relieved to say neither of my girls have had one! They are 4 yo and 8 months old and I'm hoping it always stays that way! I only remember getting one once in my childhood, and once as an adult (that was horrible).

not yet. LO is 22 months.

lo had it once so far and hopefully never again! the antibiotics gave him diarrhea which then lead to a bad diaper rash. it was so heartbreaking
