LO woke up from her nap with a bloody nose. It wasn't a runny bloody nose, but it still shocked me a little.

Not yet - But I think I might cry the day she does. I HATE blood!

DS2 had a bloody nose every morning from about 2 months until 6.5 months old. It scared the crap out of me, I took him to the pedi and then two specialists, and no one could find the reason behind it. We recently moved, and as all the doctors told me, I think it was due to dry air. I ran a humidifier every night (and cleaned it every day), but that apparently still didn't help.
He is now nine months old and hasn't had a bloody nose for months now, thank goodness! I know how scary it can be, but try not to stress. Since its summertime and you are most likely running your air conditioning, it can make the air super dry. Try putting some Saline drops in your LO's nose and then putting a tiny bit of Vaseline on a Qtip and gently put the Vaseline up their nose - this keeps the moisture up in there. If you are increasingly worried, go to your pedi and have them check it, and also go see an ENT (they have smaller tools to look up tiny nasal passages).
Hope this helps!
