Let's brag on our babies. Mine's figured out sitting on her own and is so much happier now that she can play more. What has yours figured out recently?

I guess the biggest thing she's done lately is learned to jump! She loves it. I don't love that she's jumping on her bed, but whatever.

Learned to answer questions yes or no... he seems really proud when he understands what we are asking and can voice his opinion. It's also adorable! (minus the loud NOs we get now too haha)

A few weeks ago she mastered crawling! Now we're working on standing unassisted!

She can put together this entire alphabet animal puzzle all by herself. She is not even 2.5 years yet! I am so proud of her. She worked on it for weeks with our help before figuring it out.

The most helpful lately is that she knows when she wants to go to bed! She asks for paci, lovey and to go upstairs to change. Takes so much of the guess work out!

He's 10 months and has figured out "walking" on his knees across the floor, and has recently learned to stand on his own for a few seconds. The other day he did it for about 10 seconds, and I'm not sure who was more surprised! On a not so awesome front, he's reached the milestone where he will completely melt down if you take something from him. So that's fun!

She's having a language explosion! The most recent phrase was "bless you" after I sneezed today. So sweet!
Eta she's almost 21 months

@catlady: That is awesome! What a cool puzzle.
LO has been really mastering the understanding of time lately which is kind of blowing my mind. She reminds me the next day if I said we'd do something "tomorrow." She'll say, "Can we do that next?" Or, "Let's wait until..."

DD just turned 7 months and she's been crawling like a maniac! She is into everything!!!
DS is 2.5 and is recently potty trained and his language skills are unbelievable!
Ok, enough bragging

Is taking off your pants and diaper in the crib a milestone? If so, LO1 hit that one today at 33 months
nectarine / 2641 posts
@daniellemybelle: LO1 says "lasterday" for anything in the past. I think it's adorable.
LO1 is showing incredible empathy for a 3 year old. To friends and adults. It's very sweet.
LO2 is on the verge of crawling. But he is teething too and it's been a rough day

@catlady: That's a cool (and difficult!!) puzzle!!
@snowjewelz: Jealous haha!
T's gotten really good at repeating phrases now. "I sorry" and "thank you" are common! He also knows blue and yellow and can say/recognize (and ALMOST count) the numbers 1-10. He turns 2 in a week.

R just mastered sitting up last week and is so happy with herself! She will be 6 months in a few days.

The baby has just recently started smiling, which makes her seem like a real person. I love it. (She is 8 weeks).
My 2.5 year old recently started drawing things on purpose (vs just scribbles). She can draw faces that actually look like faces, sort of, and even added legs to one once.
She has also mastered the fake cry and asking the same question over and over and over in different voices and phrases and putting the word Please in different places.

DS has started doing raspberries, which I think is the cutest. He also keeps saying dadadada. He also just got his two top teeth in (has bottom two) and I just keep laughing because he looks like a beaver.

She called me from dh's cell phone today, and when I answered and said hello she said hi back. It took several his from her before dh realized.

All of a sudden he can identify all the uppercase letters and most of their sounds. It just happened in the last month.

Waving! Took her long enough at almost a year old! We were at Five Guys for dinner and all the sudden I realize she's waving at another customer. And then she had a table of teenage boys all turned looking at her and waving, it was soooo cute.

My babe made it up 8 stairs today! She's been working on it for weeks but could only get up the first (shorter) stair. she'll be up the whole flight in no time!

@Rocker2014: dd loves building with mega blocks too. Although when they won't go together the way she wants she flips out and starts screaming.

Finally starting to attempt some words! I am pretty sure she said monkey today, and she recently started saying Dada

DS can sit up really well from a laying position and is working on crawling.

Mastered counting to 10 this week. This coincides with learning about the amazing game of Hide and Seek which she wants to play constantly. At least she's working on her counting skills as I run and hide!

My late talker has discovered lots of words and now calls me Mama instead of Dadda.

Potty training! It's like a switch flipped and she's suddenly doing it all on her own.. just working on #2. TMI?
pomelo / 5326 posts
@jaguar: we just got potty training down pat over Christmas and it took a few extra weeks for poop! I still kept her in underwear though. She only had a couple accidents and I think it was a learning experience. After a couple accidents she started going by herself on the potty. I don't know about G but my L is very regular and always poops after breakfast. So I just made sure to sit her on the potty at that time. Good luck!

Almost mastered walking, and I think we're starting to talk at 16 months.
pomegranate / 3764 posts
@delight: I think pooping freaks her out. And no, no regular time - boo! So far she's been saving it for her sleeps, in nappy. Cheeky kid. But we're not above full on rewards for poops.. so undies it is, hopefully one day it'll just click like the peeing did!
pomegranate / 3003 posts
Number two, on the potty. She avoided it like the damn plague, until last week. Now it's totally NBD, like she came out of the womb, doing it. We're officially and completely diaper free.
pomegranate / 3192 posts
@jaguar: someone gave me a tip to tell your LO to "listen for the splash" (if she's pooping on a regular toilet and not a little potty. It worked really well for us! Makes it into a bit of a game

"Can you say mama?"
"Dada!"
Don't worry, I just pushed you out of my crotch kid, no big deal. No need to learn my name
