I'm looking around our living room and realized that LO has totally taken over the space! Aside from the TV/media center and the treadmill (which, sadly, has become a stand upon which to place my diaper bag and LO's bouncer), everything else is LO-related. We even got rid of our coffee table so we could put down an extra playmat for LO to play on. I love it, though!! It's a constant reminder that we have a BABY, and I love looking at how she's completely taken over our lives!

@MungBean: We had help from an interior decorator friend, and the living room looked pretty nice! Since then, we've gotten rid of all of our furniture and replaced it all with kid-friendly stuff. The coffee table is gone and in its place is a Thomas & Friends train table!

Both of my kids have taken over our house!!!! Even our fridge has toys in it!

Yup. We got rid of our coffee table and now it's blankets/activity gyms and her toys everywhere. I love that there's so much space for us to lay around

Well, Baby X is only 10 months (so he hasn't accumulated that much stuff, really), but so far we've managed to keep the living room as a very adult place-- at least at first glance. We just moved, so we're slowly childproofing in there, so you can tell we have a kid by that. And we'll put pictures of him up soon enough too. But in terms of toys and other kid stuff-- nope. At bed time we clean up and everything goes to his room. We have the Ikea cube furniture things in there so it's SO easy to scoop everything up and put them in the right bin.

OMG every room in our house is taken over by LO. in the LR we have some of his random clothes, a quilt he plays on, his swing, his bouncer, his play mat, some toys and some books. In the kitchen are his bottles, spoons, bowls, baby bullet, and exersaucer.
In the dining room is his high chair. In the bathroom is his soap, washcloth and towel... oh and his cloth diapers hanging on the shower rod! In the laundry closet is his own special detergent. Of course his room is full of his stuff!
Our room has random pieces of his clothing and toys... can't tell you how many times I get into bed and lay on his toys! lol And in our office he has another play mat and toys.
Good grief!! lol
We have a coffee table and usually move it to the side of the room against the fireplace when he is playing on the floor.

No, we have a playroom and everything is in there.. Our house still looks like adults live here!

Yep! Definitely can tell we have a baby when you walk in! There's a swing, bouncer, activity gym, jumperoo, and tons of little toys in the living room and a high chair nearby In the dining room!
