I always tell the hubs and even my brother how relaxing it is to get a mani and pedi and that you feel so fresh walking out with clean and pretty nails. I tell them that men get them all the time but they absolutely refuse to entertain the idea.

DH goes with me every once in a while. When he lived in Beijing he used to go regularly. He likes being pampered.

No but he wants (and needs) a major PEDI!! He has gross calluses everywhere. He said he doesn't mind as long as he doesn't get any polish on his toes.

He wants one but he is embarrassed to go! I'm sure one day he'll cave and do it. I give him at-home pedicures every once in a while and he looooves that, lol. He told my mom that I do that and she was like, 'wow, you are a good wife!' haha.

I made my husband go with me once so he could see what a treat it was.
It was funny because we went to the salon that I'd been going to for years and knew all the girls. Well when he came (DH is pretty damn handsome, if I do say so myself!), they fell ALL OVER him! He had a gaggle of girls around him, and they even offered him jello shots that one of their customers had brought them. I was like, "What?!? I've been coming here for years and I never got offered a jello shot!" They loved him. It was funny:)

I've given him a manicure a few times. When he was applying for his first office job (from working in a garage at a motorcycle shop) I spent two hours working the callouses off his hands and cleaning grit from his cuticles.

Yep a couple of times. I booked him a day at a "man day spa" while we were in Denver for my bff's wedding. I wanted him to enjoy what I was enjoying with the girls at the day spa next door. So I paid for a pedicure and hot shave (face).
Then another time he took me on a spa weekend getaway and he got a mani/pedi with me. No polish, just clean up
He loved it!
I've also given him at home mani/pedis.

My husband and I go to the spa together once a month and get manis, pedis and facials. He loves it. I had to talk him into his first facial.

No pedi, but I convinced him to get a mani for the wedding -- it took a bit of coaxing, but in the end, I think he really liked how his hands looked & felt!

He won't get a pedi because he hates people touching his feet, but my husband does love to get hot stone massage and old fashioned hot cream shave. He also digs getting facials.

DH talked about maybe getting one before we got married, but things were so crazy he didn't end up going. he has weird issues about his feet being naked (he ALWAYS has socks on, it's weird), so i doubt he'll get one in the future.

My dad LOVES mani/pedis. He used to go out and get them all the time but after he married my mom she just does his at home (she was a manicurist before they got married). It’s funny because he is a very manly past marine, sheriff and district attorney. I think that the personality traits that got him into those careers are the same that motivate him to get mani/pedis…he likes everything touched up, perfect and clean.
