That sucks! That's pretty low, but I can't say I'm really surprised. My sister had her wallet stolen off of her stroller, but they left the stroller. It was stupid of her to leave the wallet (it was in her coat pocket, which was draped over the handles) but still. At least the left the Bugaboo, which was worth far more than anything in her wallet, once she cancelled the credit cards.
We have a bike lock for our stroller but I haven't really used it yet.

No, thank goodness. I lock mine downstairs in our building and I lock it anytime I have to leave it unattended like outside if a shop or in a museum. My babysitter has been telling me about a rash of stroller thefts she has heard of from her other families.

That sucks, but I thought it was pretty common knowledge that strollers get stolen at DL all the time. My family always rents a stroller or brings a cheapie umbrella for that exact reason.

DH was worried about bringing our stroller to Disneyland, so he bought a stroller lock for it.
Here is a link from our local newspaper about strollers being stolen at Disneyland.

After reading the article about one family's stroller being taken with her son's blanket in it, I put LO's blanket in the locker and got it during his naps. His blanket is irreplaceable for him.

@septca: Ya, I thought so too but she is a Disneyland regular and never had this issue. She was more bummed about her infant carseat that was snapped into her stroller!

No, but we thought someone did at Disney World! But cast members (or whatever they're called!) Rearrange the strollers from time to time to straighten them up. It just wasn't in the exact spot where we left it.

We frequent the zoo and I never use the unattended stroller parking. We walk everywhere so I need that thing!

This is ridiculous, sure when we park the stroller at the zoo, I see them all lined up it would be very easy for someone to take it, but who does that to another parent? Unless I guess it's not even a parent just someone stealing

That's horrible! What a pain, the loss of the stroller and all the stuff stashed in it not to mention the ruined day at Disney and trying to get out of there without your stroller. My friend's sister just had her double bob stolen from the zoo, such a bummer.

wow. I hate leaving the stroller unattended. DH is always like "who would steal a stroller?" Apparently it happens!

@Pepper: Hah, we thought the same thing! I was freaking out until I realized there was an attendant making everything compact and in nice rows...
That's so crappy to steal a stroller! I was a bit concerned about leaving ours unattended at DW, but luckily we didn't have any issues.
