We did the Eastern Caribbean 10 day cruise on Princess for our honeymoon. It was the greatest vacation ever! Relaxing, no stress, didn't have to be anywhere, eat whenever you want. I loved it and so did my husband. I want to go again!!!

I want to go, but DH is afraid of the ocean + boats (on the ocean)

I've done 3 cruises - 2 Caribbean and one Mediterranean. It's my favorite way to travel!

I've never been, and for some reason it just doesn't appeal to me. I'm an explorer by heart, and I think you'd have to drag me back on the boat.
That said, I realize it would be kid-friendly, so for that reason I may consider one.

We have & we're going again (DH doesn't know it though!) later this fall

I've been on a few. I think they can be really fun with a big group of people, but when it was just my husband and me, we got a little bored. we probably won't go on another one, unless it is with a big group.

Yep! Spring break with friends, one with DH when we were dating, and last year with a group of couple friends.
It was def a blast, we'll most likely go again with family/group of friends

My DH and I went on our first cruise this year to celebrate our 5 yr anniversary. I thought I would get antsy and bored with being stuck on a boat but it was amazing and uber relaxing. We can't wait to plan the next one!

We went on one a couple years ago and both got REALLY sick (like they quarantined us in our room sick) from the noro-virus. I think I have finally gotten over my memories from that because I am ready to go again! Or maybe I am just ready for a vacation that requires me to do nothing.

Yep - did a baltic European cruise for our honeymoon on Holland America. It's not really a young-person-party type cruise line, but man do they take care of you. The food was great (and we have HIGH standards for food), and the service was amazing. Plus, sitting and reading all day with a cocktail is pretty much our ideal day, so days at sea were fun for us.
I didn't think I would like cruising because I want to explore when I travel, but both of us can't wait to do another cruise again.
We plan to do Disney cruises with LO once she gets old enough, and we're loosely planning a Viking River Cruise to Egypt for our 5th anniversary.

@mrs. bird: are you planning a surprise for him or is this, "we're going whether you like it or not?"

@mediagirl: I booked it as a surprise:) he thinks he's taking the week off because I have it off and that we're going to NYC for the weekend, but the cruise is out of NYC for 8 days! I'm a sneaky wifey!

We're going on a 4 day cruise from Long Beach next month! I'm so excited to get to have a week off to just relax.

we went on one and we'll never go again. we went on a 4-day cruise to the bahamas and it was awful. we had terrible weather and were all very sick throughout. not fun! the weather and seasick factor just make it too risky for us.

Yep! We went on a seven day carribean cruise through Carnival and it was awful! I got incredibly bored. I was bored of my surroundings even though we left the boat every chance we got and I got bored of the food. By the end of the cruise I was only eating fruit. I don't think I'd go on another one.

YES! LOVED IT! 5 day trip to the Bahamas & Cayman Islands. Loved the food, the awesome service (NCL rocks!), and just staring out at the gorgeous water all day long. That was five years ago... Sigh...
... I need a vacation. Bad.

My family took me and dh on a cruise for Christmas. If you have anxiety or claustrophobia, I wouldn't recommend it. I was a mess. My claustrophobia was making me crazy thinking that I was stuck on a boat in the middle of nowhere and couldn't get off if I needed to. But the food was great, the entertainment was awesome, the sites were amazing. I just wish I had gone in a better state of mind.

I cruised once, and it will take an act of a higher power to get me to cruise again. I am just not a cruise person.

We went on cruises in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, so relaxing and fun! The service was wonderful on the Royal Caribbean and we liked NCL except they allow smoking so much more than the RC. I'm curious to try Princess, Holland America, Disney in the future!

@anonysquire: my husband actually suffers from claustrophobia pretty badly, but LOVED our cruise. we were on a pretty big boat, and so it was like being in a little city. most of the time he forgot he was even on a boat in the middle of the ocean!
cruising is my favorite way to travel. i'm literally obsessed. i'm ready for another one right now.

I've been on 2 and love them! We're going on a 4 night cruise to the bahamas in about 10 days. Although we're going with my ILs, SIL & BIL and their 2 kids (ages 4 and 1)... it won't exactly be a relaxing vacation :T

i went on a 3 day cruise to mexico once and thought i was going to die from being seasick the whole time. so no, i prob won't go ever again.

I've been on 2 cruises and we're going on a third in September. I love cruises! They're so relaxing to me. I love to travel in all forms though. This time we're going with a group of 20! I've never vacationed with that many people before.
