They have vouchers on Zulily today and I'm thinking if getting one for the Wisconsin Dells Lodge as a family Christmas present since with a new baby and all, there's not going to be a lot under the tree this year, due to me not having my ducks in a row. But I am wondering if my 5- and nearly 3-year-old will be able to our money's worth of enjoyment out if it, lol. If you've been at one, would you say that there is enough to do in the waterpark for younger children? It's not all huge, ginormous water slides, right?
We live in North Dakota and will have to travel to get there (but we're already planning a trip to visit family in PA this winter and our route takes us right through the Dells), but an indoor waterpark in January would feel amaaaaaaaaazing!

I haven't been but my husbands BFF and his wife took their 5 and 2 year olds, they had a BLAST! There's an area for younger kids that their 2 yo had fun at (though they said a year older would've made a difference) but their 5yo was in heaven and the parents had SO much fun too!!

My SIL goes with her BFF and sister a few times a year. The kids L-O-V-E it!! I'll have to check it out because I've wanted to join them before with LO but the rooms are $$$!

I haven't gone but my friend takes his family at least once a year, and his kids are I think Kindergarten and 1st or 2nd grade? And they've been going for a few years now - they always seem to have a great time!

I haven't been but it's on our list of potential destinations that are drivable.. I think by this summer my kids could really enjoy it, when they are almost 6 and 3.

I've been there and it's a lot of fun. The Great Wolf Lodge is an awesome watermark and resort !! We go to the Dells almost every year. There is definitely TONS of stuff for your 3 and 5 year old to do. We went last year with DHs family and niece and nephews. Everyone had a ball. I live in Wisconsin only an hour and a half away so it's really close for us. I would highly recommend it!

Sounds like it would be a great for a family with kids the ages of ours (not including the newborn, lol)! Every time we drive by on our trips east, we talk about how we're gonna stop and stay one of these years. Maybe this (well, technically, next) will be the year! First I have to make sure that we're going to be traveling through on workable dates.

My BFF and her whole family went. Her son is almost 5 and her twins are 1 1/2. Her son had a blast! She had nothing but good things to say about it.

@FarmWifeGina: DH used to work at the one in PA. I think you would have lots of fun there and there's plenty of shopping and other restaurants in the area as well!

@Cara M. 17: If we do it, we're going to do the Wisconsin one this time because it's right along our route. We're going to PA, but south of I-80, so the Poconos aren't really on our way. But I think it would be LOTS of fun to do that one with DH's family some year when we're out!

We've been a ton of times and love it! My kids were 3 and 5 the first time we went and there was tons they could do.
You should go! I've gone with a newborn once and it's totally do-able.

That's a perfect age. My cousin is 10 and is too old for it. We live less than 30 minutes from the KC one, so when they visit they used to stay there.
Also - sign up for their email list! My aunt says they email promotions to her ALL THE TIME.
