I have walked out on two jobs though.

No, but I did have a company choose to not renew my contract so that I was jobless when my term expired.

No. Although maybe this counts: in high school I worked for a cafe and one day I showed up 30 mins late (I honestly thought I started at 11:00, not 10:00). It was my first time ever being late, but on our shift calendar my boss had scratched out the rest of my shifts. I noticed the calendar while I was getting ready in the back, and I just slipped out and never went back. Awkward.

Once I worked at a clothing store and when a new manager took over mid-summer she didn't fire me, but she didn't put me on the schedule at all. I confronted her about it and she acted innocent and said "Oh, just let me know when you want to come in" And I replied "I guess I don't want to at all then!" and I never came back. I didn't really need the job, it was just fun to hang out with other people my age.

nope. i've also never had a job that my employer didn't ask me to come back after leaving, that's a good sign, right? =)

Kind of? They were going to cut me back to a part-time position on weekends so I walked out as they gave me 4 days notice of when this would be taking place. Best decision of my life as that boss was HORRIBLE and I had been wanting to quit for some time but the next six weeks were pretty stressful until I found a new full-time job!

Nope, but I have been laid off due to task force reduction. I consider firing because of poor performance/lack of professionalism, etc. and you don't get a severance package.
