You know, because they are cheaper
I think I read to go down 2 sizes, so I wear a 6.5 in womens which would be a 4.5 in kids.
Anyone done this - how was the fit?

Yes! I've done this with tennis shoes. New Balance and Adidas. They fit great! I did go in and try them on first to make sure I had the size right.

Heck to the yes! Uggs, Toms, etc..! From the Nordstrom Anni Sale I just ordered Steve Madden kids for myself! I actually ordered boots from MK too, but even though I have small calfs they were a bit tight so I returned.

I have done this too! In fact my wedding shoes were kids! I think my feet grew/spread over time and pregnancy though so I might have just inched out of being able to do this.

Yep! I do it with Uggs all the time. They are cheaper and there is a huge overlap in the kids vs adult sizes, plus most of their styles carry over from adult to kids (same colours and everything).

@snowjewelz: Oh ya and Toms! Kids tom's actually have a legitimate rubber sole too, so that's an extra bonus.

@getjazzy: Yes! My regular ones get worn out sooner b/c they don't have that "bumper"!

@blackbird: Haha! I wear a 9.5 in women's and my cowboy boots I bought in men's sizes. Definitely not kids!

@blackbird, @MrsF
Yeah, I don't think I've worn kids shoes since I was ten! I did have to buy men's ski boots. My husband can borrow my shoes if necessary.

Yes! Uggs! Uggs are the best to buy in kids. I'm a 7.5 and I think my Uggs are a kid size 5, and I saved a good $60+ on them!
