DS has been so so so close to rolling from his back to his belly for a few days now. I have about 50 iPhone video clips of him almost getting there then flopping on his back. Then this morning he was playing, and my phone was in the other room, and OF COURSE he flips right over like a pro.
Have you ever actually captured a first (rolling, walking, a smile, etc) on camera?

I was lucky enough to catch him rolling and crawling. I'm not sure if it was his first time doing either, but it was the first time I saw either happen.
The roll was me secretly videoing him right before I got him up for the day in his crib, and the crawl was looking like it was about to happen, so I grabbed my phone and got the monster-like crawl!

I managed to get the first time she pulled herself to a stand and the first time she really walked (more than a couple steps)

Yes, I got both of them rolling over for the first time! Like you, I had a ton of "almost there" videos on my phone because I'd start recording anytime they got in position! I captured Alice's on accident actually. I was recording Blake trying to roll and in the background Alice just flips right over!

You all are either luckier or more diligent that I am! My parents didn't really do videos when we were little, and I'd love to have some of those captured for DS.

Also DS1's first steps. Haven't been as diligent for DS2's milestones!

Not for my LO but I caught the LO I used to nanny crawling for the first time! She looked like she was about to so I grabbed my phone & caught it!

I managed to get crawling and the first time she took more than a couple steps at a time. I got lucky with timing, she liked to meet milestones on weekends!
