child passenger safety technician, aka carseat tech?
I think it would be pretty neat to have the certification. I looked into the classes and they're way too long until my youngest weans. I remember trying to find a CPST when my oldest was born and I couldn't find one anywhere locally!

I took a condensed version of the course for an old job, mainly had less actually hands on time. Was not officially a CPST and could not do anything outside of my company but it's been really helpful for my friends and family.
I would love to officially become one and take the class but for now the time/money is just not possible. So I choose to spend a lot of my free time researching seats and vehicles to stay as current as possible.

I was really into it when LO was born ... now that I'm working full time, I would not have the room in my life to do it. I am passionate about car seat safety, but will happily refer my friends to Car Seats for the Littles if they have questions.

I was really close to doing it but I was going to have to take time off of work and I couldn't figure out exactly what I was going to do with the knowledge. If I could do some part time work with it I might but I feel like the liability risk of being self employed in that arena is too high.
