I am trying a month long spending fast. No spendinv except for bills, gas, and groceries.
I wish i could do a whole year, but im starting with a month.

@DillonLion: yep! Last month. We saved a TON! It was hard because we really need some things around the house but we are working on them slowly.

I have, and pretty much continue to do so. We don't have a lot of "extra money" anyway- so we simply try to save what we can and only spend the minimal amount for our monthly bills.

Ummm I did a Target Fast
For one whole month I was not allowed to go to Target - it was sooo hard but I actually did save a lot of money!

I've been on one for many months now, since I'm unemployed. I think it will be a good mindset to have once I find a job and am earning money again!

We've done it before, especially when money is really tight. For me personally, I hate them. They're good for saving money, but they wreck havoc on me emotionally, because I get so stressed about not being able to spend money, even if we needed it. So we try to be moderate when we have money so that we don't have to induce that kind of stress on ourselves during the times of year that are a little less flush with cash.

@Mamaof2: I need that! All the snow recently did prevent me from going tho! I'm thinking about buying more things off Amazon to prevent me from impulse buying at Target...
