I guess my question would be why did you quit in the first place?

I have had people asked me this bc I was laid off. My response is no, as much as I Loved that job I would never ever go back. I was obviously dispensable.

I left my original job (first one out of college) after ~2 years, realized about 6 months later that the new position wasn't all it was cracked up to be, and returned to the old one almost exactly a year after I left. It's worked out great for me, and I've been back for almost 6 years now. I appreciate the perks of my company a lot more after seeing how much worse it could be!

I left a job for a year -- and in that year, I learned the grass was NOT greener on the other side. 5 months ago, my former boss let me know of an opening and asked me to come back... so I did!

Yes, I went back to work for the same university library that I was a student worker at, just in a different department. I had left because I had a little life crisis and had to drop out of school for a summer, but then when I realized how good I had it at the library I went scurrying back for a full-time job!
