Nope! And I hope it stays that way.... it sounds pretty miserable!

That is so sad, to not be able to enjoy the food at Babbo-- I have heard such amazing things!! Hopefully you have been able to go back.

Rob Sr. and I have had food poisoning WAY too many times. It has sent us both to the hospital at least twice. Once when I was in college, I woke up in the morning to find I couldn't even move my legs. It was so scary. I could barely get up the strength to reach for my phone and call my dad, who thankfully worked in the area at the time, and he called campus security who called the paramedics. They actually had to come into my room and put me on a stretcher because I literally couldn't walk. Once I got to the ER and they put an IV into me, I started throwing up and didn't stop all day. My poor dad rushed to get there and was beside himself all day long. After I got some anti-nausea medication and fluids in me, he took me home and I stayed in bed for 3 days. That was seriously frightening because I literally couldn't move most of my body for a few hours.

Another bad instance was when I was pregnant with RJ. We were at an awesome Thai restaurant and I think I ate some crab salad that might have been questionable. Of course it was because I was pregnant and more susceptible (because everyone else eating it was fine) but I spent the entire rest of the evening in the restaurant bathroom, sweating and crying. The worst part? There was only a single bathroom in the restaurant so all the other women who had to go to the bathroom waited and knocked and knocked, and I had to ask them to go to the men's room instead.

Yes, it was the most miserable experience of my life.

I was driving from coastal NC to visit a friend in Savannah, GA. About an hour out of NC, I started feeling bad. I stopped at a gas station and used their facilities. I kept driving and ended up having to stop on the side of the road to go and to throw up. It was awful. I visited bathrooms dirtier than the "filthiest toilet in Scotland." <-- two points for reference.

I finally stopped at a cruddy motel along the way and when I walked into the lobby, it smelled like Indian food. That made me run out again. I had no other choice, I needed a safe place to lay down for a while with toilet access. I booked a room, called my friend and my parents from the room and told my friend I wasn't going to make it, told my parents I might need their help.

My Mom and Dad drove down to get me that next morning. I had made it only 2 hours south. It seemed like I had been driving forever! Dad drove my car home and I was spent for the next 4 days of my vacation. Horrid!!

Yes! I was in college, and I got food poisoning so bad that I couldn't keep down any food or liquid for almost 24 hours. I landed in the hospital due to severe dehydration. To this day I don't know what I ate that caused it.

One Thanksgiving I got really sick. Threw up 2x. But that was 15 years ago and the last time I threw up from eating something.

One time recently after eating at a local fast food Mexican place. My DH was out of town for the weekend, so my mom came and picked me up late in the night because she was scared I would pass out and not be able to call. It was miserable, could not keep anything down for over 24 hours, I felt like I was dying.

Mrs Bee, that is doubly sad because deli breakfast sandwiches are my favorite, and because Babbo is amazing! Do you still eat breakfast sandwiches from delis, or are you scarred?

I've never vomited from food poisoning but I've definitely gotten sick from eating certain things. The incidents I remember most vividly were after eating egg salad from Citarella and after a huuuuge sushi meal in Seoul! Two of my favorite foods

Twice. Once from eating lobster. Now whenever I eat lobster, I get indigestion, which is sad as it was one of my favourite foods. The other time was in China from eating street food; that was a bad bout of food poisoning!

I think I remember reading about that on Cathy's blog, that was a dinner with her right?

I've gotten food poisoning from McDonalds and I truly felt like death!

I"m actually always afraid that I'll get it from sushi. I make my own sushi a lot and I'm not sure if there's some trick to make sure the fish is fresh enough (I buy sushi grade fish). This weekend DH and I had it for dinner on Sat and there was so much left over that I actually ate some for lunch again on Sunday. While I was eating I was thinking that I was rolling the dice because I've always heard that you have to eat it right away or it goes bad! It was still fresh and everything and we kept it refrigerated, but I was still a little scared..

Yes, a few times. Most recently, about a year ago after eating a 5 Guys burger. About 20 minutes later I was in severe pain and couldn't leave the toilet. I was sweating and shaking and I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. Last time I EVER eat there!

I personally haven't, but my poor DH got it on the last day of our honeymoon in hawaii. He was SO miserable on the flight home. He looked like death. He had to stay home the next 2 days to recover.
