Once after my cousin's wedding reception.
I've never had sickness coming out from both ends.

yes! it was from a sandwich i got from a deli. unfortunately i got sick just as we were sitting down to dinner at babbo -- one of the best restaurants in ny! i couldn't eat anything and threw up all dinner. there was of course only one bathroom, so every time i came out of the bathroom there was a line of people who had been listening to me vomiting.
food poisoning sucks! hope you feel better soon!

Yes, I felt like I was dying. TMI but it was coming out both ends and I was so dehydtrated. My mom came and picked me up so I wasn't alone (DH was in another state attending an away football game with friends.) After 36 hours I was fine, but it was the worst thing ever!!!

For a week during my vacation when I got engaged! Get better soon!

Both ends is certainly accurate. Unfortunately, I HAD to come into work this afternoon, so I'm hoping everything will stay quiet for a bit. It has slowed down, so here's hoping that I'm on the mend.
@Mrs. Bee: That sounds miserable and very embarrassing!

Get well soon! Food poisoning is the worst. I got it once from what I suspect was a poorly washed salad years ago and more recently, while on vacation in Peru and Bolivia with DH. I also had altitude sickness during the Peru portion, so our guide had to pull me uphill for most of the day - I was such a disaster! (Seriously, he held onto the ends of two walking sticks, I held the other, and he dragged me up a mountain.) It was still an awesome vacation, though, and I'm so thankful that DH and I were married at that point. We were camping and also sharing these tiny hotel rooms with no privacy, and I cannot even IMAGINE being so sick (both ends, very gross) in near proximity to any other kind of travel companion.
Sorry for the novella! Apparently I really enjoy talking about food poisoning?!

ugh... yes.... more than once... it is the worst thing I've ever experienced .... DH and I both got it at the same time on new years eve from some lime juice that went bad we thought we were going to die.... needless to say it wasn't an enjoyable night.... the next day we have to have heating pads on our backs because of how violent and how much we were puking..... I don't wish it on anyone....

Yes. It was awful. I couldn't keep anything down at all, and I ended up in the hospital for an IV b/c I became extremely dehydrated.

Yes I got it in college once after eating a crabcake sandwich at a restaurant. We had gone out for an early dinner and I started feeling sick later on that night when we arrived at a party, luckily it was only a couple floors down from my room so I was able to get back quickly. I was sick all night and most of the next day though - not fun!!

Yes, three times in my life. Once from college cafeteria (chicken), once I gave to myself (not so good mushrooms - oops!), and once from a restaurant (again, chicken). They were ALL super severe... and the last time was when I was pregnant too. Hope you feel better soon. It's so not fun.

Ugh, yes and I still can't eat hummus to this day. That was close to 10 years ago!

Yes, on my last day in Spain 2 years ago when I ate some seafood salad at the hotel buffet. I was throwing up ALL night... While DH slept. Then I had to endure an 8 or 9 hour flight the next day while feeling absolutely miserable.

I got it from McDonald's once. It was soooo bad and I was sick for about 3 days. It took me years before I could eat there again.

Yep! I got it in college, at first I thought it was from drinking but when throwing up didn't make me feel better and I ended up in the bathroom on the floor all night, I realized it was something else. I finally had to go to the student infirmary and get an IV, I was there overnight!

I ate bad oysters when I was a kid and was so sick I didn't eat oysters again until after college...and now oysters are one of my favorite foods but now I'm careful where I get them! I got sick from seafood another time (I think bad steamed clams) and spent the entire night in the bathroom. I've had other food type reactions (hives) but only got the lay next to the toilet kind of sick twice

Yes, twice when we were living in Bangkok. I don't know from what because DH and I ate the exact same things both times and he was fine.
