Oh no! My mom lost her anniversary band. We looked everywhere and found it a solid year later in the couch cushions. I inherited my great aunt's e-ring and lost it at the park. I found it in the mulch after much searching. Good luck, I'm sure it will turn up!

Oh no! Hopefully you will find it soon!! Sometimes things turn up in the weirdest places.

@grizz: oh no
I really hope you find it. I've never lost mine but came scarily close this week. For some reason, my rings are super loose and one of my bands fell on the floor while I was picking dd up for daycare. Thankfully, I heard it fall!
Could you have misplaced it while doing something for ds? My sister leaves her rings on the changing table all the time.
I hope you find it

Oh no! I hope you find it!!! A friend's center stone fell out and we found it. We were all on our hands and knees searching. Found it only after looking for 15 minutes!

I hope you find it. My husband lost his wedding band a few months ago.

I used to lose my e-ring constantly. I am a teacher and I was often taking it off to wash my hands or paint or play with play dough. After a big scare (found it) I bought a cheap silver band and I wear that most days, I save my e-ring for special occasions.

Yikes! I hope you find it! I've never lost it but I've misplaced it before!

Like an idiot I left my ring right in front of my puppy and he almost swallowed it! Obviously never did that again

:(. Good luck!
I "lose" mine around the house constantly but it's because I always take it off and forget where I put it. DH broke his last weekend.
Is it insured?

My mom lost her anniversary band in Kroger, but someone found it and turned it in. And my husband lost his wedding ring two years after we got married. I'm honestly surprised it lasted that long, given the nature of his job.

i lost my e ring, it's in our apartment somewhere. i took it off to shower & put in on a console table, when i came out the cat was batting my wedding ring around and the e ring was missing

@rahlyrah: Yes, thank goodness! It was custom, but the jeweler kept a ton of pics and all the specs on it so I can have it made again if it comes to that. I'm so sad!
@mrs. bird: I'm hoping mine is in the house! I wash my hands so much at work (with my ring on) I would have noticed if it came off there. It has to be in the house somewhere!

@grizz: I'm glad it's insured and you can have it re-made but I really hope you find the original!
DH lost his wedding ring about 5 months after our wedding, at an indoor water park kind of thing. He realized as soon as it came off but they needed to go through the filter and couldn't stop it right away. They ended up finding it two weeks later and shipping it back-- I was shocked!
And my mom lost her wedding right when my brother (the oldest) was a baby. She found it 35 years later! It had falled behind a shelf in the cabinet under the sink while she was giving him a bath in the sink. When she replaced the shelf it fell out.

I hope you find it!!!
I lost mine about a month ago and DD found it a week later. I guess it must've slipped off when I was cleaning her room. I just saw her holding something shining and knew immediately. I was so happy!

My mom lost hers in an airport....left it on a sink and then flew across the pacific without it. Amazingly, either the credit card company or the jewelry store replaced it due to a warranty that my stepdad bought! This was in the 90s though and the ring was only a few months old.

I lost my wedding band for a couple of months, but luckily I found it (luckily since its a rare design so not easy to replace).
My husband lost his wedding band almost a year ago; I bought him a cheap replacement ring.

I lost my husband's wedding band a few times in the laundry. He left it at a friend's house once. They sent it back to us.

I haven't lost mine, but my grandma lost hers, it never turned up for years, like 3 or more years. My grandpa finally bought her a gorgeous new one for Xmas one year. Literally days later she found her original ring wrapped in toilet paper in her camera case. We always bug her that she just wanted a new one but she swears she had no idea it was there haha.

Yes, to both, but I've found them again. They were in safe places both times, but I just forgot that I put them there!
I hope you find yours soon.

Nope but a friend of ours lost the center stone of her e-ring. They backtracked to all the places they had been that day and found it on the ground in a parking lot!

aww, hope you find it!
never lost a ring, but a small stone fell off my wedding band. had to get it replaced!

Still missing
If I lost it at work I'm sure it's gone forever
DH thinks it will look suspicious to our insurance company to file a claim on it after we just changed insurance companies a month ago, so he doesn't want to replace it. Why have insurance then?
I am pretty heartbroken. It's been gone since Thursday night and I'm losing hope it will turn up.

Would it be weird to hire a professional housekeeper to clean our house top to bottom to see if they find it?
Or would that up the chances of it being lost forever? I'm scared it would be swept/vacuumed up or something.
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
@grizz: when do you usually take it off? Washing hands, lotion? Could it have gotten caught in a pair of gloves? I would be so upset to lose mine too. But not submitting to insurance seems silly to me.
papaya / 10473 posts
@Foodnerd81: I never take it off except before bed, and I put it in a jewelry box then. I hope I didn't get it caught in a glove bc the trash outside my office at the hospital is emptied every hour

My aunt lost her engagement ring once and it was in her pillow case. Check there!

i lost my e-ring almost a year ago
last winter i knew i hadn't stepped foot out of my apt for 2 days because of the crazy cold weather and i had a newborn. I take the ring off to shower and always put it in one of 2 safe spots. it wasn't in either spot and we looked everywhere and never found it. I will only accept it is gone when we move out of this place in a couple of years. Then we will talk about a replacement.,...but i am still sad because i know it can never really be replaced
i hope you find yours. If it is any consolation, after a year, i got used to not having it. And i realize it is just a ring. nothing about my marriage or life is remotely changed because I lost it.

@grizz: You could always vacuum really well and then sift through the contents of the canister... though I feel like you would hear it get sucked up.
Could it be outside? In your driveway or yard? Maybe a metal detector could help there? I don't know if it's cold where you are, but my rings always slide around my fingers when it's cold outside...

oh no!!!!
hope it turns up soon!
My bff lost hers...and found it in the sink after she ran the disposal! :O... it ended being okay because they used her insurance to upgrade the damage!
GOLD / watermelon / 14076 posts
@grizz: Is there any chance your DH is doing something with it for Christmas? And maybe that's why he doesn't want to file a claim...like he's surprising you in some way? Maybe he got it engraved or something? Just grasping at straws here!
