I never have!
We have a big back yard and a big front yard, but my DH always mows it.
Growing up we had acreage, but my dad mowed it on the ride on lawn mower. If he didn't, one of my brothers would.
When I lived by myself I had an apartment, so no grass to mow!

Yep! With a regular motorized lawnmower.
My in-laws have a riding lawnmower and it is so fun!! I've mowed their lawn while riding it before.

Yep! plenty of times! Our front yard is huge so DH uses the riding lawn mower for that, but our backyard is small and hard to maneuver the riding mower around the brick patio/fence -- so I try to do it as my cardio during the summer months! I did it during 1st/2nd trim too!

Never in my life! Growing up my parents had 5 acres but dad wouldn't let me drive the rider mower. Then I lived in NY and there was a landscaper, then living with DH we've only lived in rentals where we didn't have a yard

Yes! Hubs and I split the lawn in half and we each do our own sides, haha. It's part of my exercise in the summer! I'm looking forward to not having to cut it anymore though.

@highwire: oh, does it have a cup holder? I have always wanted to mow a lawn on a riding lawn mower while drinking a beer! LOL.

I actually like mowing the lawn. Since buying our house I've only done it once. DH likes to do it and doesn't like seeing me to "man chores". When I was growing up though I mowed our lawn for Dad and loved mowing the big lawn at our cottage on the riding mower.. haha I though I was so cool "driving"

Yes! A couple of times. My childhood home had an enormous area which dad cut, they have yard people at their current home (where I grew up mostly), I lived in an apartment and now DH cuts the grass on a riding mower. I've cut the grass before at my parents beach house on a riding one!

Yeah this was my job growing up. Several acres of lawn. I hated it. Now as an adult I mow our lawn probably 95% of the time. (It was my husband's job growing up too--also several acres--and he hated it more than I did!)

Nope, but I have snow-blowed the driveway a bunch of times, which is basically the same thing (pushing around a big scary motorized thing that could sever a limb, haha)

Never the whole yard. Our push mower is not self propelled so it's hard for me to handle.

When we lived in TX we had a few acres and a riding lawn mower but my dad or stepmom always did it...I was too young. Then when we moved to LA my stepmom always insisted on doing it.
When DH and I lived in Pittburgh we had a yard, but our landlords owned like half the block and hired someone to mow ALL of the lawns on the block a few times a month. When we moved in with my SIL DH would mow...because he likes to do it and says he missed it!
We don't have a lawn now

I can't believe how many people have never mowed a lawn!
Growing up I used to do my parents lawn with a riding mower.
At our home now hubs does most of the yard work. But every now and then I like to mow the lawn. We have a push mower so it's a good work out, and our yard isn't that big so it doesn't take so long that it's unenjoyable. I was actually kind of bummed I didn't get to do it at all this year since I'm pregnant.

Nope!! We live in a condo now, but growing up, we had a yard. My dad used to mow it when I was younger, but eventually he hired a gardening company to come mow. I always wanted to ride on the riding lawn mower, but I'm accident prone...

My mom or my brothers would do it growing up, then I lived in an apartment by myself, and DH has mowed the lawn the entire time we've lived together, but we have a riding mower so i don't think it takes him more than 1/2 hour.

I did with a riding mower growing up -- we had a big yard. Right now we're in a townhouse where it's all done for us (yessss). At our old house, we paid for someone until we got fed up because he wasn't doing a good job. DH got an old-fashioned mower. He was so cute using it.

I think I helped my dad once when I was younger cause I thought it would be "fun"....that lasted all of 10 minutes. DH and I now have a lawn service that does it for us.

It's totally my job! Growing up I drove the full-size tractor towing a bush-hog to mow our rural yard, but now that we're in the suburbs I've downgraded to a self propelled push mower - it was only this weekend, at 33 weeks pregnant, that I delegated the mowing to DH.

No way! I call it DH's form of vacuuming. Actually, we had an electric lawn mower for awhile and DH would throw the cord over his shoulder...it was pretty funny to watch. Until he mowed over the cord.

Never! I probably wouldn't even know how to get it started. My parents and my brother always mowed it when I was growing up, and DH takes care of our lawn now.

yup, i loved doing things with my dad, and would push the mower, use the weed whacker, help with minor repairs on the house like caulking, spackling, staining. now DH does the mowing, i haven't done it in a long time.
