Lol, I have my anatomy scan tonight and I'm afraid they will tell me my elective gender scan was wrong!

I was not convinced after the 1st one. After the second one I felt better, after the 3rd time looking I feel even more confident (she did not cooperate and everytime was hard to see)....but there is always that fear of "what if???"
There was a girl who delivered at my hospital a few mos back. Was totally prepared for a girl....she delivered a healthy baby boy. I would not even know where to begin.

Every time I had an ultrasound I had them confirm she was a girl because I was scared they were wrong before!

I questioned it until the day he was born! I literally kept receipts and tags on clothing. The tech even pointed out his anatomy but of course it just looked like a blob to me so, I wasn't entirely convinced!

@Rescuemom10: The guy who did my elective ultrasound had someone come in around 32 weeks pregnant once. It was the day of her shower and she wanted some 3D images to show everyone. Apparently they had planned a shower for a little girl and it was very obviously a boy (she had only had her anatomy scan at her doctor's office). She was shocked and pretty upset since they had bought everything and all her presents were for a little girl.

A couple nurses in the elevator swore I was having a boy, so I told them ultrasound said girl. They tried to convince me the ultrasound was wrong. I did start to wonder, but the ultrasound was right.

I had to have another ultrasound at 24 weeks since baby girl wouldn't move her head at the 20 week one, so they could measure her brain. I asked the ultrasound tech to double check she was still a girl and nothing was hiding last time. I am still nervous we will have all this girl stuff, pink nursery, and out comes a boy!

i questioned it for the entire second half of my pregnancy...didn't help that my mom kept on saying "ARE YOU SURE IT'S A GIRL??" because she thought i was carrying like it was a boy.

I was really looking forward to having a girl so in my 3rd tri I started panicking that maybe it was a boy and that we were completely unprepared! I even made my husband discuss boy names just in case. Haha! I think one of the first things I said after she came out was "is she still a girl?!"

No I was pretty confident it was a girl, or a poor poor boy

I freaked out all the time when I was pregnant. I had tons of pink and I was scared id end up with a boy.
Next time I'm going team green so I don't have to worry about it.

I always said to people "but there is a chance that it might be wrong" up until the point when I had a scan at 33 weeks (for another reason) and I asked them to check if he was still a boy and she said yep still a boy. Only then did I really believe.

@Bao: I feel the same way. We saw two obvious potty shots and if its a boy, I have a lot of concerns!!

nope! one, we had chromosomal testing done, but two, the tech pointed out the, ahem, labia. and it was very, very obvious to me it was a girl

I did! At 16 weeks they told me it was a girl! At 18 weeks it was for sure a boy!!! Every ultrasound after that I always asked them to make sure he was a he!

I question it at every single ultra-sound! Though by now, I'm 100% convinced it's a girl! But everyone has told me a story of someone they know who was told "it's a girl" and later have it be "it's a boy!" in the delivery room!

@shopaholic: I had a friend that was the opposite. They were told boy, boy, boy. But they had a girl. Dad was a little disappointed because he thought after 4 girls they would have their boy, but another girl!

I had a friend who thought she was having a girl up until she gave birth... and had a son. She had her baby a month before me so I was freaking out for the next month!

I'm not questioning it. The ultrasound said boy and I'm decorating my nursery.
However, I've gotten a crapload of people say "well what if they're wrong? I knew someone who was told girl and had a boy..." or vice versa. I just want to look at those people and say, "and just what do you hope to accomplish with a statement like that?!"

@autumnlove: The night I went in to be induced the thought crosssed my mind. I actually cried about it (damn hormones) because I'd envisioned this boy for so long, I would have actually missed him had they been wrong and he was a she.
