I just received my first wedding evite. It's cool to save money/the environment but I don't think they picked a good one. The lettering is so small, in cursive, and there is no way to enlarge it so I am not impressed by this invite, sadly.

I received one last summer. It was cute, but I def couldn't e-vite as I have many non-internet/computer relatives (if you can believe that!)

Only a save the date. I did get an invite to a bar mitzvah though through evite.

I've been invited to three weddings via evite. I really didn't think anything of it. All of the weddings were so very unique and beautiful, I could tell they used the money saved on invitations was used for the ceremony/reception.

I received two wedding evites and I was put off - not because it was an evite but because they were both very poorly done with very careless wording (ie. "Monetary gifts preferred.")

I've never received an evite! Oh jk. I actually did. It doesn't count though since the wedding never happened.

I think I have received 2 wedding evites. Actually, maybe more, if you count the people who sent the wedding evite AND a physical invitation. I'm REALLY into stationery so I get disappointed when it's an evite. I've saved every wedding invitation I've ever received!
I was once invited to a wedding across the country via facebook invite. I knew I couldn't go, especially since I was heavily pregnant at the time of the wedding, but I don't think I even RSVPed because I forgot!!
I think a large, expensive celebration should come with a "real" invitation. Especially if I'm going to spend money on a gift. That's just me.

We have received two wedding emails. That's right--not "evites" but emails. With links to a wedding website in them. I think it's pretty lame...I mean, you can get cheap invitations from vistaprint.

Yes. I don't think that it is silly--especially for those pressed for time. My favourite is Paperless Post--they have a lot of beautiful designs and an awesome interface.
That being said, I love the keepsake of our paper wedding invites...

@mrs. wagon: i think the invitation style should suit the event - you are right. if it is a sizable, fancy wedding, then i would like to receive a paper invite.
@hilsy85: wow, was the wedding small and super casual? or just a regular wedding?

Yes, I received a wedding Evite to a huge wedding I attended last fall. Oooh, it has been 7 months and I haven't received a thank you card or email for our gift!

@autumnlove: you would think they could have sent an e-thank you card!
