I can't ever remember sleeping through anything important, but today both of DH's alarms didn't go off and he woke up when he was supposed to be starting work...oops. This was a first for him that I know of, and hopefully the last!

My Freshman year of college I stayed up all night studying for my history final and accidentally fell asleep, only to wake up 3 hours after the final ended... needless to say I failed that class...

I slept through a smoke alarm going off in our house once. It malfunctioned, thankfully but uh....that was sort of important if it was a real fire!! (I know, not what you were thinking) 
Hope your hubby doesn't get in trouble!!

Yes! My senior year in college I slept through a final exam. I woke up 3 minutes after it was over, ran to my professor's office, and fortunately she let me take it then. I was so exasperated that I didn't even put a bra on before I left my room

Nope but my husband was 45 minutes late to our first date! I forgave him though, obviously.

I slept through my alarm on the day of a final my junior year. I woke my husband up in a panic and he drove me to the university so we could take the HOV lane. I think I took 5 minutes to throw on some clothes and brush my teeth before we left. I got to school twenty minutes late and my professor let me take the exam. Fortunately it was easy and I finished before time was up. It was a French exam and I was so nervous it was going to be difficult.

@mediagirl: I know I'm all paranoid about that kind of thing! He may have told a white lie...which isn't any better, but I doubt the truth in this case would look good. He sets multiple alarms for goodness sake, what are the odds lol.

When I started a new a new job, I stayed at DHs house (we were still bf/gf) so I could be closer to work and get there early. Something happened, either he turned off my alarm or set it wrong... I still don't know... But I woke up 2 hrs after I was supposed to be there already on my first day!!! It was awful!

Never. I have nightmares about this kind of thing! DH is a different story, he used to be late for work (as in half hour to an hour) on a regular basis... it didn't seem to bother him!

We've had one tornado warning this year, and DH and I both slept through it. Whoops. Didn't realize it until I saw text alerts on my phone the following morning.

the day after I gave my first presentation at an academic conference, I had a really early flight to catch and somehow missed my 4:30am alarm clock! And by "somehow," I mean that it was really fricking early, I was exhausted because I'd been so stressed out beforehand, or the 2 glasses of wine my boss had bought me after my talk, lol...I have never, ever packed so fast but I managed to get to the airport on time, though I lost an expensive and sentimental earring in the process

I did the whole sleeping-through-the-final thing in college once, too. Luckily, It was a 3 hour time window for the final, and I woke up only 1 hour into the final. I threw some clothes on and was out the door within about 30 seconds and got to the final with 1 1/2 hours left.
Luckily for me, I've always been a fast test-taker, so I finished quickly and turned it in. I felt like I totally nailed it, beause I knew every question (short answer questions for a literature class on everything we'd read that semester).
The professor wrote at the top of the exam, "This test was designed to take 2-3 hours and you finished it in only 41 minutes--88" with no explanation of where I missed the 12 points.
I was SO angry, but figured he was just peeved that I didn't need longer on his precious exam. As you can see, I'm still a little bitter over that B.

I also overslept for a final. I got there 45 minutes into it. Thankfully, that professor was awesome.
