After spending way too much time coordinating outfits for a holiday family picture I totally get the appeal of khakis and a white shirt "uniform". I'm sure today's "coordinated but not matching" outfits will look just as awkward in a few years.

I was trying to figure out where I'd find our white shirt and jeans pic, and it turned out it's my dad's cover photo on Facebook. Haha! Still proud of it all these years later, I guess. DH and I are the ones on the far right.

hahaha my friend just vacationed in NC and came back with a white shirt/jeans pics on the beach. hahaha, didn't know it was a thing! i think theirs looks really nice though!

Oh man, not white shirt and khakis but we tried to get a family picture of everyone wearing blues and greens and half my siblings showed up in other stuff. One sister's family all had black and my brother showed up in red jeans!
So we probably would have had better luck with white and khaki.

Yes - my grandmother loves the white shirt-khaki pant combo for family pictures on the beach. I've never understood why because it kind of makes you blend in with the sand.

My family did jeans and white shirts once. I don't own any khakis!

The whole idea of jeans and white shirts cracks me up because my dad has NEVER owned a pair of jeans in his life!

Definitely in the mid-late 90's - all 3 of my sisters and I were in white shirts and overalls for portraits
I will never do that to my kids

My parents did this a few years back except they had us in black shirts and khakis because my mom doesn't think she looks good in white. The black is awful, because everyone's black is off and you can tell the newer shirts from those that have been washed too many times. We looked like an ad for color protection detergents. Awful.
