Had them all the time as a baby. Got ear tubes and that slowed them down but I can still bet on getting at least one a year. The good thing is I'm so used to them that I know what to look out for and I usually catch them so early that they don't get too bad.

I had one last summer, as we were going through our miscarriage. Because my body was already out of wack, I wasn't responding to medication at all and they ended up needing to admit me to the hospital for 4 days to put me on iv meds. I wasn't able to work for nearly 2 weeks after going home because I had to give myself iv's twice a day, each one lasting nearly 3.5 hours. It was not an experience I wish to ever repeat!

Yes actually my first one was my freshman year of college. They are so painful and miserable, I totally understand why kids scream their heads off during them!

I had a terrible ear infection a few years ago. It hurt SO BAD and made me dizzy and sick to my stomach. It was awful!

I used to get them all the time as a kid. I ended up getting my tonsils removed to help with drainage. I think I've gotten two as an "adult"--once in high school and once in college. I caught them both before they got too bad, though.
