I never have and would like to. Mr. Bee got it done years ago and afterwards his teeth were more sensitive.
What method did you use? Would you recommend it?

I used crest whitening strips back in college. My teeth were so white back then!

I typically just use the white strips at home, though I also keep some of the Opalescence gel around to put in my invisible retainer sometimes. I don't notice much sensitivity to either, but I also keep Sensodyne around in case I start to feel any.
My husband did the in-office UV whitening and was realllly sensitive for a while afterwards. And his teeth seemed to stain almost immediately afterwards. He was pretty meh about it, especially since it was not cheap. Maybe if he actually had really stained teeth, but they weren't bad at all, and it didn't seem to make much of a difference.

I wish I could. My teeth are way too sensitive. I can't even handle the at-home kits.

I had custom trays made & used this gel in them, you can buy different strength gel depending on how much whitening you need and your sensitivity. I only do it once a day & they recommended using sensodyne for toothpaste while whitening.

Like @mrs. bird: my dentist has custom trays made for me and I used gel in them. The sensitivity went away quickly.

I've had a few friends do ZOOM (which was pretty popular about 5 years ago), and all of them had some pretty major pain and sensitivity afterward. I don't know if there are other/better methods now or what.
I asked my dentist before my wedding if it was worth it, and she said she personally thought the at home trays were all you needed unless you had major staining and damage, which ZOOM wouldn't help anyway and would require something else.

I tried the at home kits and after 2-3 days, my teeth got really sensitive to the point they hurt and I couldn't continue the 7 days process. My friend stuck it out, and her teeth got pretty white. They started fading after a week though.

I've tried the at home kits with the molds from her dentist. My teeth are way too sensitive for professional whitening!

I did whitening at my dentist's before our wedding and my teeth were pretty white. It was sensitive, but it's because they take your teeth up several shades in one sitting. And you do have to be careful of staining foods and drinks for the next couple of days because the pores of your teeth are more exposed. I also did trays with gel after it for a bit. I was happy with it overall.
