The only one I've seen recently in theaters is Safe Haven, the new Nicholas Sparks movie. I loved it, but I may be a bit biased because its about my hometown!

We saw Oz a few weeks ago and loved it! I don't usually like 3D movies, but that is what was showing at the time we went and I actually really liked it in 3D even.

@mrbee: Well you can't go wrong with Disney in my opinion. Visually, it was stunning and I like seeing a different take on the Wizard of Oz story.

We went to see the place beyond the pines this afternoon. Trying to stay busy while we wait for baby! The movie was excellent. A little difficult to watch because it was so intense, but really good. Some great performances.

Well, the last movie I saw in the theater was Skyfall, and I thought it was excellent!

Not being successful with TTC has meant that we've caught lots of movies. Les Mis was visually quite epic - I didn't think that Russel Crowe or Amanda Seyfried quite had the vocal chops that the rest did. Anna Karenina was bizarre but made a lot more sense after the credits rolled and I saw that it was screen written by Tom Stoppard. Oz was visually spectacular and I enjoyed it, although I can see why it's had the the feminist lash back that it has. Life of Pi was also visually amazing but I liked the book better as I felt it left the ending more open.
I also saw Pitch Perfect and The Whistleblower while traveling and found them both compelling viewing for completely different reasons.
My favourite recent film would have to be Argo. It's just a fabulous all around film.

We just saw GI Joe last weekend and I really enjoyed it! Please don't judge me, haha!! I actually picked the movie, not DH, ha! Mainly because I Channing Tatum... but his role was too small for my liking :T

I haven't seen a movie in theaters since I was pregnant with DS!
@lilteacherbee: I want to see Safe Haven so bad! The book was amazing.

@Sweet T: The book was better than the movie, as they normally are. BUT it was amazing seeing my town like that! A lot of my friends were extras. It's funny, because southport really is like it's described in the book!
