I watched it My friend worked on the Shamu show and Dawn was one of her friends. She saw everything that day.

I have! It was really sad and eye-opening... I will never take my family to seaworld or support them in any way after watching it!

Now I'm intrigued and feel like I have to watch this.

I watched it on last week on Netflix and thought it was eye opening and heartbreaking. There were a few scenes where I cried because I felt so bad for these beautiful creatures.

After watching this, I won't ever visit or support Sea World again, unless drastic measures are taken to change things and they stop exploiting the whales for entertainment purposes

Aside from being sad, it really is an excellent documentary. It's amazing how smart these animals are.

Surprisingly, I did, which is odd considering my whale phobia.

I found it both frightening and sad. These aquatic theme parks are pretty akin to keeping a human in a bathtub, 24/7.

It's on my to-watch list.
Anyone who's watched it - have you seen The Cove? I bawled my eyes out for a week after seeing that.

Watched it a few weeks back on CNN..it's horrifying. I won't go back to sea world. I love that certain musical performers have cancelled their performances there because of it too.

Nauseating.

I wanted to watch it last night on Netflix, but my husband refused. I was tired to begin with, and he knew it would be too upsetting for me. It depresses me to think of any wild animal that should be out roaming around contained in a small area. I can't go to most zoos for this reason.

I watched a PBS show on parrots. They were describing how and why parrots get aggressive and neurotic. A man who has a parrot rescue said he gets asked all the time, "What is a good sized cage for a parrot?" and he answers, "There's no such thing. They have the sky, the jungle, a three mile radius."

Loved the movie.

DH watched the trailer with me the other night and then watched the full documentary the next night on Netflix. Now he's making me watch it.

Even though the trainers aren't in the water with them anymore, I still can't support Seaworld. Ugh.

Saw it - and was horrified by it. Although, truth be told, I had made up my mind about animal amusement parks before I saw it - but it confirmed a lot of what I had already felt.
Wild animals (especially of that size) are not meant to be kept in cages. I really respected and agreed with one of the people interviewed during the documentary that said something about how he didn't want his children growing up and thinking that that is the right way to treat creatures. Completely how I feel.

I watched it this morning. These whales are very dangerous. I had no idea how awful the handlers treated them- tiny pools, withholding food, and separating families.

awful stuff. As a mother, it was really heartbreaking to see a calf being separated from its mother and the mother crying...UGH...There are just so many unnecessary things in this world.

Watching now n will nvr visit sea world. So sad.

I watched it tonight. The parts about the moms and calves being separated were heartbreaking. They made me want to run to M's room and cuddle with her! I loved Sea World as a kid but I just can't take any LOs there knowing what I know now.
