I usually take T to see the bunny....but I don't think we did last year! And this year, we're running out of time. I might sneak the kids to the mall on Friday though.
Hav you taken your kids to see the easter bunny this year?

This was just brought up in my Mar Moms group. I have never seen this or knew it existed. I wonder if it's a regional thing?

We didn't go. There is a Easter celebration at the little regional park and beach by my house and it was Saturday. I didn't realize it. Actually I was out at the park close to nap when I realized so we could have gone... But it seemed like too crazy and busy and I felt unmotivated! I actually felt guilty about it but he would have hated taking a picture this year anyways.

No. She flipped out for Santa so I'm not even attempting it.

We were at the mall and I held her up so she could see him (we were outside the gated area). I took one step closer and she had a death grip. So no way was I going to try pictures.

We were planning on going yesterday but figured it would be crazy on a Sunday afternoon. So we are thinking of going during the day to avoid the crowds... maybe tomorrow?

No, I don't think we will do this. Easer bunnies are always so scary looking! We are doing an egg hunt (in a grocery store!) and that's it.
We didn't do Santa pics this year either, but since I had a baby one week before I'll take a pass.

Yeaterday, she wasn't too into him, was gripping me tight so she sat on my lap and I sat next to the bunny

We haven't done it once, we did see a bunny at a mall this weekend and my son wasn't even remotely interested...but then again, life sized characters are not his thing, never have been.

We have seen and waved at the bunny in the mall but we will see and hopefully take a picture with the bunny at my parents neighborhood egg hunt Saturday.

My kids liked the Easter bunny last year, so we might try it again this year. Maybe on Friday when DH is home. There's no way I could wrangle them both up on his lap by myself!

The Easter bunny visited our neighborhood egg hunt over the weekend. DD screamed, but only halfheartedly, and then she started waving to him while she was screaming An improvement over Santa Claus, I guess...

We did it once when DS1 was 5 months. We haven't gone since... but I think I might try to take the kids to the egg hunt at the zoo and get pics if isn't too crazy.

Yes, our school put on an egg hunt for the little ones Saturday. He was shy around the bunny, but was very fond of the candyyyyy
honeydew / 7504 posts
Nope. A is only 6 weeks old, so no thanks to those grubby paws touching my unvaxed child. And D is not so good with the character-meeting.

No, I'm not big on it and DD isn't a fan of people in costume. DH showed her some pics of kids with the bunny and she kept saying yesterday she wanted to go. dH said okay and told her we would go after dinner and then realized the bunny was gone for the day - cue tantrum lol. She woke up talking about it today so we might try this week if she keeps asking.

We've never gone to see Santa or the easter bunny. I think that both of my kids would be terrified - plus waiting in long lines - not worth it for me!

Yup. We took her to an Easter Scramble at a park on Saturday and she had fun. Usually DH is the Easter Bunny for our church, and it turns out this bunny had the same costume so she was pretty happy to climb up on his lap and take a pic. We will also do an egg hunt at our church on Sunday if we aren't in the hospital and she'll take a pic there too.

@lawbee11: DD1 hates Santa but loves the easter bunny. M may surprise you.
We're having brunch at my SIL's horse farm on Saturday and she'll have easter bunnies. Our club had an easter party on Sunday with a bunny and egg hunt. Works for our not religious family.

We went yesterday as part of our local moms group. They arranged for us to go to the mall before it opened to the public and see the easter bunny without having to wait in line. It's the only way I would consider doing it and DS was really excited about it.

Not in the traditional sense (at the mall), but we went to an egg hunt on Saturday, and someone was there dressed as the Easter Bunny. He stood next to him and smiled for a picture. Good enough for me!

Oh crap, I totally forgot this is a thing! I want to take her! Better figure out where to go
persimmon / 1458 posts
No and we've actually never taken them to have pictures with Santa either. Worst.parents.ever! The thought of cranky kids and waiting in line just doesn't appeal to me.

No, I don't do Easter bunny pics with my kids. I think the bunny looks creepy, I hate lines, and I'm fairly certain one or both of my kids would cry. I know some people think the crying photo is cute, but I feel bad forcing my child to take the pic if he doesn't want to.

We happened to see him at an egg hunt. LO was happy to wave to him from far away but did not want to have a picture.

Hadn't really planned on it. If he asks eventually, sure, but so far it's not a tradition for us.

The older one saw him, but only because they went on a school trip for it. I never took them before....the Easter bunny is scary!
pomelo / 5607 posts
@junebugsmama: Yeah, she wasn't too sure. I think if there had been time for her to get a good look at him up close first it would have been better. But she didn't cry!

Nooo... ever since I saw Donnie Darko, the Easter Bunny totally creeps me out.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21628 posts
@Ms. RV: omg. A house in my neighborhood has a rabbit bust in their yard and it looks so much like the bunny from Donnie Darko to me.
No! The Easter bunny freaks me out. It's the eyes.
