We turned the furnace on once when I was home and felt a chill. I def, thought about it this morning when I felt how cool it had gotten. It's still gets relatively warm after the sun comes up though so its a tough call.

Not yet but we will tonight. Lows for the rest of the week are 40s so M's hands has been cold overnight. And my ILS are arriving from the South tonight so the heat def needs to be on for them!

No, but I'm in an apartment building and I have to wait until the management company deems it cool enough. It's really not bad here - mostly in the 70s lately. We have had a few cooler nights, though, and sometimes I go to get LO in the morning and her little hands are freezing

Nope, we still have our A/C on at night! I need to be cold when I sleep
eggplant / 11824 posts
We've turned on the heat at night a few times - it was down in the low 40's last week at night. Brrrrrr

No way! I'm in Houston, so it'll be another month or two at least before we need heat!

Nope, we too still have our a/c on. It's going to be mid to high 80's here today. Whomp whomp. It was 74 in the house when I woke up, though. That was nice!

Yep! We turned it on a couple weeks ago when it was getting to be 40s and 50s at night. It was soooooo cold, so the heat came on!
pomegranate / 3008 posts
Nope. We are still hitting the 90s during the day and only getting into the 70s at night.

No! We're trying to hold out as long as we can this year. Aside from one night where we forgot to close the spare room window it hasn't been too, too bad.

Yea last week it got down to 20 at night already! We def needed the heat on. One morning I woke up and the thermostat read 60 degrees. That was the limit for me!

For a few weeks now I've been turning it on every once in a while. It's getting chilly fast!

I had to turn it on once over the weekend. Not overnight or anything, but we were out of the house and had to warm things up when we got back! It was down to 55 inside....brrr.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
Nope! We're still in the mid 90's. It reached triple digits last weekend. We don't really have a winter in TX. You can get by with a sweater in December sometimes.

We've turned it on a few nights for LO when temps go down to the 40s. I just wait for the sun to warm up the house during the day.

Yeahhhh I'm in College Station (central TX), the high is in the 90s today LOL. We still have the A/C on and probably will through November SO jealous of all you ladies that can wear pretty scarves and sweaters right now!!

A/c is on here in SoCal. It was 90 yesterday but at least it's getting cool at night.

Texas here too...I've got the heater running y'all!! 59 out and chillier earlier this morning. Mainly on to keep LO warm, but my toes are cold too.

Yep. It's in the 30s at night here (20s a few nights), so we turned it on a few weeks ago.

Nope!! It's been in the 60's and I LOVE the crisp air!
persimmon / 1479 posts
I am in Wisconsin, highs in the 60's and we have not turned our heat on. We usually try to make to late November/December. We do have a wood burning fireplace that we will do a fire in the evenings once it gets colder.
We usually keep our house pretty cool in the winter, but with a new baby coming in December I think we will ened up using our heat more than usual.

We've had the heat on for a couple of weeks now. It's been in the mid-high 60s in the daytime, but its been getting really cold at night. If we didn't have LO, it probably wouldn't be on quite yet.

Ha! I wish! We're still running the AC and they're forecasting 100 this weekend!
pomegranate / 3917 posts
Nope! But A/C is definitely wrapped up for the season! Cool at night, but getting some nice days so making it work! We always try to get to October without the heat on, and looks like we'll make it! We are in Ontario

Uh no, we're excited that we can finally use the swamp cooler again and are sleeping at around 68 degrees at night. Its way too hot to not run the a/c or swamp cooler. I don't expect to use the heater until December at the earliest.

Nope, we still have the windows open! Today is 73 degrees, so it is pefect outside! Can't wait to take a walk!
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
nope! it's still really warm in our upstairs...it's an old house so they're mainly half windows (on the floor) and it's hard to get a cool breeze. downstairs gets damn chilly though at night!
coconut / 8681 posts
I wish!!! Our AC is still on too. It's high 90s during the week and was in the 100s last weekend. It's supposed to be 100 this weekend too.

No, not yet, and it'll probably be a while before we do--E and I both run hot, so it'll have to get a lot colder out before we do.
It's been in the upper 70s here. Earlier in the week it was getting down into the 40s at night, and we just opened the front door and put a box fan in front of it to bring in some of the cool air. DH does not run hot, but he's fine holding off putting the heat on--he just bundles up and gets into his sleeping bag.
